Just a week a go we came from TA on Equinox. For the first time, I experienced Flash Mob on the ship. If you have one on your cruise - DO NOT MISS it. It is so much fun to watch.:)
Fun to watch? I saw a YouTube of a gang in Phily doing a flash mob beating people up and robbing stores.
Oh sorry my wife says your referring to a different kind of flash mob

Glad to see them gone, great news
-
They are just trying to make a profit

Mom dad and 2 kids $550 for
a tea that should be included

DCL is the only large ship line I would ever sail again. One of the reasons is the lack of nickel and diming. There are any number of others as well. I'd rather pay a slightly higher fare and not have to pull out my room key to get a cup of coffee or a pool towel.
That said, the people who sail some of the mass market lines with ridiculous policies on everything from pool towels to alcohol have only the, selves and their behavior to blame. There are only so many towels that can be taken home and so much food wasted and so many drunken brawls before a company sees that they have a serious problem and takes steps to fix
Royal Tea on the High Seas
Lady Chamomile and Chef Brule play host to Disney Cruise Line's new Royal Court Royal Tea Party, a regal affair for kids of all ages, complete with tea sandwiches, pastries, cupcakes and, of course, tea. Available to young "princes and princesses" ages 3 and older on any seven-night Disney Fantasy itinerary, the cost is $279 for one adult and one child, with an additional child from $210 and a $69 charge for an additional adult. The event includes character visits from Disney princesses with a meet-and-greet and photo, sing-alongs and gifts.

I think I may just bring my bowl of fruit down from the room, grab a seat at the spa and sell it for half the price :D
I remember when the spa cafe first started...they had the best black bean tostados, split pea souffle and the best low fat deserts. Those were the days...
I remember all that, really good creative food and great low fat deserts.

The spa cafe is the biggest change and now a real disappointment. Most of the space has been taken over for the $5 fruit bowls.

I had the rotator surgery at the end of April a couple of years ago and went on a cruise around June 25 a little over a month and a half after the surgery without any problems. I still could not do much and still used a sling and was able yo enjoy the cruise.

Looking to the front of any of their ships I don't see where their could be a duplicate bridge. There is usually the gym and lounges above the bridge and staterooms below. Why are you asking? For safety reasons? You would hope one bridge could handle any emergency. A duplicate one could be handy, but with only so much room on a ship to ask Celebrity to build two bridges on a ship is unreasonable, costly and will never happen.

Glad to see the updated menus. Hopefully the quality will stay up as well. Previous quality was as low as you could get.
The food selections look very good. They should have never let the mdr get so bad and should have done this years ago. At least they did something.
My only complaint from looking at the menus is seeing the $$$ on a menu in the mdr.

When these silly things were first announced there was an entirely different attitude here. Everyone sounded like they were going to rent one for the entire cruise.
Glad most have come to their senses.

You will be ok w/o a jacket. They will give you one to drape on the back of your chair. When done eating just give it back
You must have a jacket to enter just don't have to wear it
The have the spare jackets right by the entrance.
Was great to not have to pack it and still enjoy formal nights

Getting the Promenade ready for Halloween
Very inventive group costumes
We got a bat for out towel animal
New formal night menu covers
That pay portion of the menu is getting bigger. I knew that RCI could not keep it to one item, soon the pay part of the menu in the MDR will be bigger than the included menu. Probably my biggest gripe with RCI is charging for any food item in the MDR.
-
The last night you will have a $40 charge added to your account for unreturned towels. This is a made up charge by RCI. Get a written receipt each time and plan to go dispute the charge the last morning.
-
They did the bogus $50 towel charge on my dads account. Luckily he got a receipt each time and had them sign off that all towels were returned each time he checked out and returned the towels. He even went to the front desk at midnight the last night and checked his account, they said all towels were returned, by 6 am the last morning there was the $50 towel charge.
He had to go back down stand in the long last morning line to show all his towel receipts, he wad extremely frustrated, because he went to a lot of extra work trying to make sure this did not happen
I think the were taking advantage of a him thinking he would not notice, he wad 84 at the time. Maybe the can make a million bucks a year by making up these fake charges.
Celebrity and HAL don't have this nonsense, all the towels you want to use are stacked up by the pool no checking out and in, no bogus towel charges.
-
Stop charging $18 for entrees in mdr
-
My answer is none of the above.

The sickening part is Celebrity closed that announcement with "enjoy your cruise"

Boy, this thread has taken on a life of its own. Hadn't looked at it lately, but did want to add a note about my observations on Zuiderdam's introduction of AYWD on the March TA.
As regular readers of this post and the roll call thread may recall, I had a major battle with HAL to get confirmation of traditional dining. However, once on board I didn't notice any problems. It certainly had no effect on my upper level service, and I never saw any lines at the lower level open seating entrance.
People I met who had selected open seating were very pleased with it and the flexibility it offered. However, the one or two people I met who had been forced to accept open dining because traditional was full were not happy campers.
No doubt there were also some passengers who had wanted but been unable to get traditional , and then discovered that they liked the open seating. So, I continue to feel that the problem is not with the concept, but HAL's unwillingness or inability to confirm dining choice at the time or booking or shortly thereafter.
The inability to confirm dining choice for traditional has so far kept us away from HAL. I keep checking the HAL boards once in a while to see if something has changed. Looks like not. We tried open seating on NCL and Princess. Its not for us. If HAL would confirm traditional, we would cruise with them again.

Boy do I feel ___, I thought the 10,000 club had something to do with the number of cruises the person has taken.

JR should be included
put towels out by the pools
open the dining room everyday not just sea days
change the dining room menu each day
keep lobster or offer a good alternative, not bbq chicken as a replacement
keep a small portion of the WJ open later at night
Pizza change

It's a frozen premade pizza. Saw them taking the frozen pizzas out if the wrappers. Looked like something you can buy at costco.
