How does this work? There is a guarantee celebrity suite available on the Equinox first week in August for a great price. Do they have some that aren’t booked even though they aren’t advertising them? There are no other suites available other than this.
Thank you

Thank you momK your review was very helpful. We were a little concerned by some people’s comments as well.
HappyMe, I will post on here if I find the review.

We just booked it! I will try and find your review though.

What year did you do the Med cruise? I’ll have a go at finding it.

We are looking at a Panama Canal next May in Lido 726, a Vista Suite. Has anyone sailed in this cabin? Do you know the condition of the ship? I saw some balcony photos and they looked quite shabby. Was this one of the new cabins added during the 2015 refit? We have not sailed on a ship as old as this one before so are a little worried we might be disappointed. Other than one of the new Norwegian Ships, every ship that sails the canal is old. We have cruised about 16 times on a variety of different lines.
Thanks for your help.

No Celebrity is as crowded as any MSC ship. YC or not... so you don‘t have to worry there.
We have found the Yacht Club to be very quiet on the times we have sailed on MSC. There are always ample seats to be found on the sun deck and in the lounge and plenty of waiters around to never have to wait for a drink. I have not found this to be the case on Celebrity.

I love the FRIO containers for meds that need to be kept cold.

Should be in hand luggage in case checked bags are lost. I have frequently travelled with injectable meds and TSA have never once checked them after going through screening. No problem getting a sharps container once on board.

Just got back from our third cruise in a year on MSC in the Yacht Club and did not find smoking to be a problem at all. We never saw staff or cruisers walking around with cigarettes or smelled it in any areas apart from designated smoking areas. We are very sensitive to smoke so would be aware of it if it was bad.
We have been on deck 16 each time with cabins above us so cannot say if you would hear noise if you were in a suite on deck 18.
We absolutely love the Yacht Club on MSC. After sailing several other cruise lines, it is our absolute favorite.

I only noticed the smell the two days we were tied up next to the Equinox so presumed it was her.

For the second time this week we are tied up next to the Celebrity Equinox. The smell of the smoke coming out of the smoke stacks is awful. We have been driven inside off our balcony both times. Does anyone know why the smell would be so toxic smelling?

Traveling in Yacht Club this week and was able to get distilled water and extension cord from room attendant with no problem.

There is a thread about this on the help section. It has been going on now for quite a while. Cruise critic keep saying it’s fixed then it starts up again

We are on the Seaside and left port after the Bliss but pretty soon caught up with her. She was stationary in the water for quite a while. We left her behind. We wondered what had happened.

Thanks for the replies

Did it take longer than usual to get through immigration with the shutdown? Is there a separate line for Yacht Club guests to get through immigration?
Thanks

Can’t get onto Celebrity or Royal Caribbean. MSC was incredibly slow

Yes we did. It’s our third time on Seaside and we have not had an email from the Captain before. We sailed in the Yacht Club each time and are black card members.

Which side have they taken for the loungers, the smoking or non smoking? How is the dining arranged now re smoking/non smoking? Thanks

The doors also stood out to us. We missed all the automatic doors that we had become used to having, from a germ point of view and for me, they were just too heavy. I have rheumatoid arthritis and found it difficult to open them. We could not understand why they were not automatic.
Thank you for the review, we leave in 8 weeks time for our second cruise on Seaside and cannot wait.

We sailed on the Seaside last January in the Yacht Club. It was our first cruise with them. We thought it was amazing. The service was excellent, the food good to excellent. Lobster was available most lunch times at the poolside grill. The cabins are not suites, but are very comfortable rooms around 260 sq ft I think. The bathrooms are very big and luxurious. We sailed for a week in the Caribbean and the cost was just over $4000. It would be impossible to get this kind of experience on Celebrity for this price.

Thanks for posting the price you paid, it is too expensive for us. We are taking our son and his wife so also have their cabin to pay for as well.

We are already booked in the Yacht club that week and am interested in what the difference in price would be as to whether we would consider it. We paid around $4000.
Thanks

Is there a reason a suite would not be in the general inventory? I’ve seen guarantees offered before when there are vacancies in the categories above them so existing bookings could be moved up but not when that is all that appears to be open.
Thanks
