  1. Hello. We booked a cruise on the Pride during Spring Break. Unfortunately, we got wait listed for Early Dining. Ideally, we want a table for four during early seating. If we can't get that, then we would like a table for four during any time dining. We currently have late seating.

Do you have any advice on how to get this changed?

Thank you in advance for your help.

  2. I hate to be a Debbie Downer, but ours was a dud! Carnival had the meet & greet, it was in the Funtimes, and we had at least 30 - 40 people signed up, but only 10 showed up. There were cookies, coffee and lemonade and the cruise director showed up. Unfortunately, it turned into a complaint fest to the cruise director, about reservations, carnival payments, etc. He's a cruise director, not the VP for Carnival. So all of the complaints I've heard about the CC meet and greets, and Carnival came thru, but it wasn't worth it to me. :(

  3. This may sound like an odd question, but what or who sets the tone or feel of the ship? We went on a cruise last year on the Sunshine and the feel of the ship was "Family Friendly". This year we went on the Glory and the feel of the ship was "Party Party Party". These were completely different experiences, one which I liked, and one which I did not like. What or who sets this mood of the ship and how can we find out what other ships will be like? TIA

  4. We were on the Sunshine last Fall. We had a table for 2 in the aft MDR. We were on the upper level, next to the glass railing, overlooking the lower level. We had our area all to ourselves. It was quiet, and made for a very nice experience. I think it truly is luck of the draw. We had assigned late dining if this makes a difference.

We were in this section too. We are a family of four. We sat in a booth. Next to us, was a table for two. The waiters walked in between us. Definitely not inches apart. Request that table for two.

  5. We've only done two family cruises, and our boarding experiences were completely different.

Without FTTF, boarding was delayed. Since we hoped to get right on the ship and eat but didn't, we were starving. When we finally did get on, everyone was at the buffet. Long lines, no place to sit, tons of carry on's everywhere. Such a grumpy, hungry, frustrating way to begin our cruise.

With FTTF, boarding was awesome!!! We boarded just after Platinum cruisers. Dropped off our carry on's to our room, met and gave a tip to our room steward, and headed up to Guys. No lines and plenty of places to sit. Grabbed a drink while my son was the first one in the pool. Next time, I'll be the first one in the pool!!! Enjoyed the less populated ship and got to watch everyone board the ship. What an experience! Definitely well worth the $59.95!!!
