How do I purchase a bus transfer from the cruise port to the airport?  Can I do it pre cruise on the website?  Is it an excursion?

If you go into cruise personalizer and click on flights and scroll down you will find "transfers"

Thanks!  Working on getting reservations but having trouble with getting reservations for 4 people all with premier without them charging for the second couple!  I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

I don't think you are doing anything wrong. The app is inconsistent when recognizing premier when making reservations. If it charges you you can get reimbursed on the ship.

Have the package and the only confusing item is this casual dining option. Wish Alfredos had more than pizza options love the eggplant and the ravioli on Regal when this venue started but then it was also free. Not sure where else to go for this, but will figure it out or not use this as well.

What ship will you be on ?

Thanks. What they want is their own device coverage with a Princess Plus package and just plain old wi fi access for the two granddaughters. Nothing super special for them. But try to find if you can buy a simple separate access package on the Princess website and you go around in circles.

I'll be on this cruise with my son and I'm a bit old school, I'll check emails and read the news on a laptop in the morning. A mobile phone sits in the desk drawer until we go ashore. It is the last thing I want to carry around with me. The Medallion is good for opening the cabin door and don't get me started about how much better it is than the old cruise card!

    Whereabouts in Texas?

You can purchase a one device plan for $24.99/day or a 4 device plan for $44.99/day.

I am taking my elderly mother on a cruise to Denmark.  I paid for my cruise about 3-4 weeks ago and ordered the medallion and her a necklace. I thought they would be in for mother's day.  They still aren't in.  When should I expect it?  I can't even find anything in my online summary where it says I ordered it and paid for it, but it showed up on my credit card so now I am starting to worry.

They send them about two weeks before you cruise. The batteries are short lived so they don't send them early.

Thank you for the information re the Railroad Dock. I was going to ask a question about it as I could find nothing official about the arrangements.  The method of handling passengers on May 9th is the same as it was last year. Getting back to the "aft" ship can take a long time when a train arrives.  We will be back in Skagway near the end of July and were wondering about the current condition.

The procedures at the railway dock are the sane as they were last year. Tender for RRF and shuttle for RRA.

Have you made your final payment?

we are in suite for an end of September cruise & it will not let me finalize the medallion transaction!

The app is "buggy" when it comes to ordering medallions. I couldn't do it in the app but I had no problem placing our order in the "web version" in cruise personalizer on the Princess website.

  8. They say you have to wait until final payment is made but I had no problem making my reservations before I made final payment. I did make my reservation using the "web version" that is in cruise personalizer on the Princess website. That shouldn't have made a difference but it did. I don't have "status". I hope this helps!

  9. We had trouble trying to order our medallions in the app but we had no trouble ordering them using the "web version" that is in cruise personalizer on the Princess website. I have attached a screen shot that shows how to get to the "web version" if you want to give it a try. I hope this helps!

Thanks, would be a shame to miss Skagway. According to the port schedule, Radiance is supposed to dock at Railroad Dock aft on our sailing.

Strangely, Radiance was supposed to dock at the Broadway dock on the current cruise, not sure why they still switched the itinerary for Haines.

I wonder if they needed to close the Broadway dock so they could work on the Ore dock? It will be interesting to see if the other ships that are scheduled for the Broadway dock this week also get shifted.

I have been told that children under 3 don't get a medallion. How does this work for getting on and off the ship? Also, we figured whichever adult was with the child could have his medallion to get into his room for his things. Does anyone who has traveled with young ones have any insight? Thanks!

You can go to guest services and have the medallions for both parents programmed for entry into both cabins so you will not need the cruise card except when getting on and off the ship. If you have older children with medallions they can also be programmed for both cabins. I hope this helps!

We will be doing one week land tour after Alaska cruise. Our sapphire princess starts from Vancouver Port and reach whittier alaska. We are planning to take a small electric rice cooker for this trip to use during land tour. Will cruise line allow small electric rice cooker?

    Thanks

They will hold it for you while you are on the cruise and return it when you get off so I guess you could still take it to use on your land portion.

I'll start a list of restaurants within walking distance and others will chime in with additional ideas.

I wonder if your friend was talking about the Snow City Cafe which is very popular with locals but is only open for breakfast and brunch.

Other ideas include Fletchers (located on the ground level of the Captain Cook), Glacier Brewhouse, Simon & Seaforts, Humpy's (a reference to a humpback salmon), and Marx Bros.  All of these restaurants have websites which list their menus.

Thank you! I have heard of Snow City Cafe. They were talking about Gwennies which is not walking distance from the Captain Cook.

There are numerous nice places to dine near the Captain Cook.  You have many options.

But if you haven't used Uber or Lyft you could just ask the hotel to call a taxi.  Easy peasy.

We will probably just eat close to the Captain Cook. A friend had told us about a place that they really liked but I just learned they are only open for breakfast and lunch. Probably won't want to commute that early in the day. Any suggestions of places close to the Captain Cook?
