  1. For OBC buy 100 shares of carnival stock. Buy FCCs while on a cruise. Ask about the credit available to veterans. Book with a TA who offers credits.

    Doris,

Maybe you can help me here. I bought stock so I can do the OBC but I cant seem to get an answer about what I need for proof. I have no certificates but I can print out my portfolio report that shows CCL 100 shares. Do you know if that works for them? Also do you know a phone number besides Princess main number (which does not get you to speak to someone who really knows the answer) that you can call for help on this issue? I thought this would be easy, but is turning out to be a real pain.

  2. Recently returned from the Cal Coastal 7 day. We have AT&T. In all US ports it worked as normal. When underway we were far enough offshore to get no service. As mentioned, the ships cell service was available but not used by us. Ensenada is a foreign country with all that implies for charges. We used our cell hot spot for internet access when on AT&T. :D

    Jim,

Did you have to have a special package with ATT to Connect? I have to have cell service while on board, I just dont want to whole world calling me at 2.49 per min. ATT seems to be pretty confused as to what I need to make a phone call. Any ideas?

  3. I have been on 2 Princess cruises, both 10+ days. The first cruise was Europe for 17 days. I have nothing bad to add to that Cruise. The cabin was great, the food was fantastic and the entertainment was outstanding. This was also done in 2007 and I had heard that the European Cruises were very different from the US Cruises.

The Southern Caribbean Cruise I did December 2012. Food was great, but Europe had a more unusual variety. (Goose, duck etc). The Entertainment was great but I give Europe outstanding. Broadway shows in Europe, not the US. Every port in Europe added new entertainers and they were outstanding.

The wine tastings were great and so is Vines bar. The staff are top notch on Princess.

The AC did not work well and never did get fixed this past December 2012 so I guess I must take off some points for that one..

For me I enjoy Princess and Celebrity the best, but then I am in my 50's and not looking to be a on ship with all small children, although Princess does a fantastic job of keeping the kids from running all over the ship.

Our Captain on the Christmas Cruise notified all Parents that their Children were not to be running in halls or hanging around elevators. They had a strict policy and if you did not keep your children from running over other passengers you could be put off in a port and responsible to get home on your own...that being said they kept the place for kids open until 1 am and gave the kids tons to do..
