  1. Very helpful information- I am doing my first b2b in February 2023 on Equinox and this answered some of my questions.  I will be having a different friend on each leg of the cruise, so I’m assuming I will have to join the person meeting me to board together for the second cruise.

  2. Love your reports Generation X - thank you for sharing with us!  I’m booked for 7 cruises this year (so far😆) and 3 are solo.  I totally understand what you’re saying about how enjoyable it is to be responsible for your own happiness.  My friends frequently ask me if I’m lonely on a solo cruise - I am as social or alone as I choose to be - I love it!  Hope to meet you one day on a Celebrity cruise.

  3. We are booked on an Alaskan cruise sailing out of Seattle in August.  We are booked for a flight into Seattle 4 days before the cruise - currently planning on renting a car and taking the car ferry over to Victoria for a couple of nights before the cruise, taking ferry back to Seattle for cruise.  Do we need to complete the ArriveCan for the ferry to Victoria then again for the Victoria stop during the cruise?  Thanks for any info!

Noon should be okay.  You need to be at FLL by NLT 10:30 and 10:00 or earlier is better.  The ride from POM to FLL should take about 40 minutes or so on a Saturday.  That translates into off the ship with bags and clear of customs/immigration by about 9:00.

Thanks!  Thought I might be ok with that flight but wanted to confirm I wasn’t just wishing it would work.  Originally planned on flying into Miami but couldn’t find any times that would really work.

  5. Trying to set up air for a August cruise out of Miami, most affordable and best times would be flying in and out of FLL but not sure if a noon flight home is doable coming from Miami.  Flight out of FLL would be on a Sunday so no commuter traffic and I would be getting a ride from Miami with Florida family who are on the cruise with me.  I did this particular flight in and out of FLL in April for a cruise from Port Everglades and had a lot of time to kill at FLL.

    Thanks for any input!

Post Covid the filet is no longer on the children's menu.😪  Asked for it on several ships.  Answer has been "no longer on menu".

It was available on Apex this April, and I also enjoyed it on Constellation the month before.  However, escargot was not available on Apex - they said it was a supply issue.

  7. Thanks so much for the detailed report - we are sailing Quantum on August 8 and this was very handy for deciding what we want to do on board.  Surprised no video poker on board but I guess that means I will be spending less time and $$$ in the smoky casino.  Did Alaska last September on Celebrity Millenium, which was a very enjoyable experience. Thinking this will be quite different!

  8. Sailed Constellation in March, escargot and crème brûlée on menu and available.  On Apex April 23 - first night escargot on menu but not available, second night not showing up on menu.  Our waiter said it was a supply issue.  Last night of cruise I noticed crème brûlée not on classic menu - asked our waiter as a matter of curiosity if this was an oversight - he said they had discontinued crème brûlée as a classic dessert about six months ago.  Thought that was strange because it was still listed on Constellation’s menu the month before.  Btw, our waiter brought a crème brûlée after he said they weren’t doing them!  I assumed they might be serving them in one of the specialty restaurants and no longer in the main dining room.  Just thought it was odd.

  9. Just back from our first E class sailing on Apex.  We had an IV balcony, I was  a little tentative about the balcony before boarding, but my cabin mate was excited about trying it.  By day 3 both of us were hating it.  The ship is beautiful, I like the 4 dining rooms, I enjoyed the way they’ve made deck 4 a combination of Cafe al Bacio, shops, casino, restaurants but overall I am more a fan of the classic M or S class.  Doubt that I’ll be booking E again unless it’s an exceptional itinerary.  Back to Summit or Equinox for me.

  10. On Constellation right now (3/28/22 - 4/8/22) - I don’t have an exact count but a staff member told me “under 800”.  No wait for elevators, early show in theater probably has about 100, although the 9 PM is better attended.  Service is wonderful (but I loved that before Covid) - I hope the numbers pick up some - hard to see how they can make it with counts this low.
