Silly question:  Does HAL still supply the 1.75 of Elemis BAR SOAP?  We much prefer bar soap (and will bring some) but is any offered these days or just the liquid soap?  THANKS   Happy sailing everyone

How was it using your iphone?  We dont want to take a computer just to take the monitored testing.  I am guessing internet service needs to be topnotch.  Was it ok using your iphone or a pain in the butt?  We ARE going to purchase tests to take with us JUST IN CASE.  We fly out of San Diego to Boston and timing will be close.

Isn't this EXACTLY the reason we have the ports PILOTS come onboard? that They take over the navigating the narrow passages etc.   They are suppose to be able to navigate THEIR waters accurately.  Sorry for all concerned but very surprised this happened at all.

When you go to the date you are interested in reserving.  You make it like you are going to buy it.  Then it will show your credit available to use.  Click on that name and it reserves it for free.  Shows up in the cart as free.

Yup...this place SUCKED for sure.  Stay onboard!!  Even their small shopping center was pathetic.

So funny as I just read this post.  I bought this stuff at Walmart 6 months or so ago and plan on taking on our next cruise.  ALL from Walmart.  Waterproof yellow wet bag.  Gold looking silverwear so we dont forget it in the Lido and plastic cups.  Maybe $15-20 worth.  Taking it for sure now  🙂  It might help or come in handy

I believe you need to be sure and check BOTH people's credit and it should work.  I did this for other stuff and they just want you to check BOTH names....so BOTH credits available are charged.  Have fun!!

I just booked, after reading this post, our TWO complimentary dinners for Caneletto and Pinnacle Grill, easy peasy for our July 2022 VOV cruise on the Zaandam.  Easy to navigate....no cost to us.....and we are now reserved 🙂  with an email confirmation.  If we change our minds on the dates it will be an easy fix once we are onboard.  We have the HAVE IT ALL.  Merry Xmas all 🙂

No one has commented and has me intrigued....ONE test for two people?  Doesnt make since.

That is way crazy and VERY unfortunate.  A Brand new FRESH smelling ship and they allow indoor smoking....BLAH!!!

That does'nt sound right to ME.  I would cancel the gratuities you PRE-PAID  and then have them add the free ones.  Unless you were past final payment. I would call again and get another answer.   Glad you saved some money 🙂

Good day everyone.  I have been watching, on this site,  to see if anyone knows of any special perks or opportunities coming up for Black Friday or Cyber Monday Sales with Holland America.  I am surprised no one has mentioned anything (unless I have just not seen it).  Discounted shore excursions maybe, gratuities included, drink package added, FREE something lol    Thanks in advance for any information.  Those travel agents always seem to be in the know early.  Have a great Thanksgiving :-)

Do they still have a happy hour and what are the terms.  Was buy one and get the second exact same for $1 or $2 more.   Do you remember what the prices are for the Pinnacle Grill for LUNCH?  Laundry by the BAG still $20 stuffed?  Do you know if they had a whisky tasting?  THANKS

WOW steve4031....that is crazy.  Glad you are requesting your money back and booking elsewhere.

FYI I book either online myself, or thru HAL directly by phone or most of the time using the big box store so that I get their generous gift card after cruising....which usually has a value of at least 10%.  ALL of these options I make many many payments, whenever I feel like it.  Never an issue and make the payments directly in my Holland America account.  Dont even have to call and bug someone just to make a payment.  Get instant confirmation and easy peazy.  For the big expensive cruises this works out great.  There are options 🙂   Full disclosure:  IF you use the big box store you DO have to contact them FIRST whenever you  have a question.  Then big box store calls HAL if clarification needed.  Safe travels.

Not sure if this will FLY.......lol .......BUT just saw on the Big Box website that they were offering a 10% discount on Alaska Air plane gift certificates. Limit of 10.  Wish we had seen this earlier as it would of been super helpful to us.  Hoping it helps at least one person.

For those able bodied people I HIGHLY recommend reserving with Kodiak Island Taxi at (907) 486-2515 (assuming they are still ok post-Covid) or indy_jones101@hotmail.com  For $20 per CARLOAD each way TO Ft. Abercrombe (takes 6-7 in a Ford Expedition) for a 15-20 minute drive to the park for some AWESOME trails and a great day.  When you are ready to go back to the ship either arrange ahead of time OR call when you are ready again.  Gates open at 9am to the Fort so we got picked up around 8:30.  Super cheap private excursion for many hours of entertainment.  Don't be put off by the rain.....can stop at any time.  Pack your umbrella, water, t-paper, camera and happy disposition.  Bonnie can also assist 🙂  Dont forget to stop at the Kodiak Island Brewing Company for a brew.

YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!  LOVE Hal's 14 day cruises for Alaska.  Will figure out which one we want to take.  Looking good for different ports AND Glacier Bay!!!  We DO enjoy Icy Strait and Homer though but......

Oh boy....here we go once again !  It really seems like some people ENJOY spreading negative news reports.  It really bugs me to see these posts when the world and cruise lines i.e. EVERYBODY has been trying to move FORWARD....not backward.  Covid is here to stay for awhile I would bet so let's just move forward in a positive manner and only report really really bad news maybe?  Please 🙂

This is a CLAMSHELL when we were on Half Moon Cay a few years ago.  I LOVED and appreciated having the shade available.  Fits two people nicely including the chairs
