  1. It depends on the situation. I'm much less likely to be upset if someone politely asks first and you only need one item. "Excuse me, would you mind if just grabbed some butter?" is no big deal.

Just barging in and filling a plate with multiple items, even if there seems to be a break in the line, isn't ok. Often the line will catch up to you and then those folks who were in line first are held up waiting for you.

    I agree with you

  2. South beach is expensive and over rated. Been there, done that. Although you don't really say what you're interested in?

Just seeing any sights. I am 59 and mostly disabled. I walk with a cane and pain. Some years ago before I was disabled, we flew into Ft. Lauderdale and drove to Key West. We stopped along the way at a memorial for the victims of a hurricane and spent a week walking around Key West. So, any interesting or historical sights. I suppose we will drive up Ocean in Miami Beach and maybe eat there. Other than that, I am looking to this thread to provide suggestions.

  3. Leave Miami and go to Miami Beach -- that is the "Miami" you see in the movies and TV shows. Great dining, nightlife, beach, art galleries, people watching, etc. You do not need a car if you stay in South Beach. :)

I did not know any better, so I am already booked into the Intercontinental Hotel.

  4. A doctor took out my damaged spleen 4 years ago, so I have to avoid getting sick. In 4 years I have not gotten sick at all. Just wash your hands often and use tissues, napkins, tp, etc. to open doors or touch things others may have touched before you and you will be fine.
