  1. Falklands Helicopter Service £350 (roughly 💲420) per person minimum 2 persons. 25 minutes each way instead of over 2 hours by road. Also shorter tours and sightseeing. Check out their website.
  2. Yes all of those up to the individual limit per drink of the package. Not some premium waters.
  3. It's the time that was the problem. With allocated time slots still in operation (and enforced in some ports, including Southampton) Concierge Passengers were unable to board in time and hence the decision to offer the lunch on a sea day. I know doing this isn't the same but it was at least a gesture.
  4. Not just mini itineraries, on TA's there would be over a 100 every day all trying to get drinks from a few staff.
  5. Looking at your profile and country I would strongly recommend you also look at an Expedition Cruise that includes South Georgia. In addition to landings on the Peninsular being able to visit Grytviken with its unique whaling history, church, Shackleton's Grave and 10's of thousands of King Penguins is unique. There is really no comparison between the "panoramic" experience offered by Celebrity and that of, for example, Hurtigruten. We have done both.
  6. Good point on the Captain Club Host who is supposed to be (and usually is) available at the Elite Breakfast every day. Platters: introduced on the restart so may go back to self service (possibly not on sailings from the US due to hygiene restrictions to do with carpet/tiled areas). However the pre plated selections are really examples as the staff will make up any combination you like. My choice is 1 platter of fruit and 1 platter with 5 plain croissants and a large dish of the Marmalade all washed down with a mixed Berry smoothie and several Lattes.
  7. Plus the croissants and sticky buns - our favourite way to start the day. Usually very quiet on a port day, busier on a sea day and an absolute centre of activity on Transatlantics regularly spilling over into Qisine. Also for early morning drinkers wine, mimosas and bloody mary's.
  8. Not the drinks the event i. e. now drinks at almost any bar instead of the one big gathering in Sky Lounge. 😂😀.
  9. Avoid the crowds and enjoy a relaxed meal at the Spa Cafe for free.
  10. As a first time passenger you are the most likely to benefit from AI as you will not get any other benefits. To do some simple math and using the figures given earlier in this thread. AI costs $80 a day. Gratuities are $17 balance $63 Now what else do you want/need? Basic Wi-Fi $20 per day Leaves $43 for drinks Don't need the Wi-Fi you have $63 for drinks. Drinks include; alcoholic/speciality teas and coffees/bottled water and wine by the glass upto the price limit of the package.
  11. Once you have had your free mochas at the breakfast you can buy them all day at the Café Al Bacio on Deck 5. Drinks available in China mugs to have "in" or take away cups. Elite breakfast is every day except disembarkation - on that day Tuscan Grill becomes the Elite disembarkation lounge with pasties and drinks
  12. Not possible. Craft Social/Cellar Masters is on Deck 4, Sushi Bar on Deck 5
  13. If you not in a suite there is not much change in the cabins. - new colours, new drapes without the "nets", new bed. Everything else the same - no new power outlets or usb points. Bathrooms unchanged, same shower doors etc. Rocking chairs around the spa pool and in the Sky Lounge. Craft Social is lighter and more of a sports bar (lots of screens). Extra bar outside of the theater. Cafe Al Bacio unchanged. I lounge moved next to Deck 5 - old space becomes cabins.
  14. Select for us every time. Pre booked for 6.30. Time allowed for the meal is the same - 2 hours. If you arrive at the same time each night you can request to be with the same waiter - not guaranteed but the Host/Hostess will usually manage to oblige. We always share - table of 6 preferred which is what we request when we "check in". For us sharing tables is one of the joys of cruising. If you have a particularly difficult passenger(s) and you would prefer not to share with them again a quiet word with the Host/Hostess usually solves the problem - be prepared to tell them why as this helps them "pre empt the issue for other passengers.
  15. I am not sure what I said to deserve such a response. We understand both programmes and are Diamond on Royal due to the number of cruises we have done with them not just because of our Celebrity status and are Elite+ on Celebrity. I made it clear that "for us" the Celebrity benefits are better - that's what I mean by "choice". You say you prefer 4 days unlimited internet whereas for us (we normally do minimum 14 nights) this would leave us with no internet for 10 days. For the amount we use it our 240 X 2 minutes gives us internet every day - again "choice". I see nothing in the Captain's Club benefits that matches our 2 bags per person of laundry plus some dry cleaning and pressing. The Azamara deal was part of the Sale Contract and it stopped on 1 February 2023. Pick whichever deal suits you best, there is no right or wrong.
  16. Firstly Azamara is not owned by Royal. Secondly wether Celebrity 's benefits are better than worse than Royal is subjective. For us as Elite+ Celebrity's benefits are better. 240 minutes each internet is more flexible than Royals 24 hour blocks. Unlimited speciality teas, coffees and chocolate in the Al Bacio are better than Royals "hit and miss" self serve latte in their lounge where we can only interact with other Diamond members. We don't drink alcohol so the free canned water (enough for the next day) during the Elite "free" drink period) plus a juice or 2 to take to dinner is fine. Elite breakfast in Tuscan is superior to Royals in the Diamond Lounge. Laundry benefit is non existent on Royal. It's all about choice.
  17. We can all compare and having compared we make a choice. Royal owns Celebrity but the two brands have different offers and styles. If you expect the brand's to be the same you might as well compare them both with Silversea (also 100% owned by Royal).
  18. Never compare the two lines that totally "p....s of Celebrity. The X offer particularly for Elite plus is very different: a selection of alcoholic drinks at the Elite Breakfast every day, limited drinks from a special menu for 2 hours a day Plus unlimited speciality teas/coffees/ chocolate all day. For us this is a far, far better deal.
  19. One of many. Sorry not a "syrup" but at sweet non alcoholic drink made from fruit juice. Now where did I put that torch (sorry flashlight).
