I just checked the website deck plans and the Serenity deck is now listed. There's also a new BBQ joint. Not sure what else is new as we just booked last week for this Thanksgiving.
-
The only real change is that it used to be a relaxing beach day. Now with music blasting from the ship bar, it's more of a club scene. We'll be back there in 5 weeks but I'm not as excited about the port as I used to be.

Me and my wife LOVE GoT. Had no idea until I started researching today that so many sights were filmed in Dubrovnik. Sorry Rome, this port has now rocketed to our most anticipated on next year's cruise!

It was interesting that they left that off. I too looked for that one and saw 8 days did some head scratching....thought it would be longer and possibly a Journey cruise. There was two other holes (other than the once a month 4 days that I assume will go north). One when she first comes over, there is a 4 day hole and the other interesting thing was a two day to Nassau when she gets to Miami. I am sure it must be logistics but wonder if it will be on that one they will do the naming ceremony.

I bet the 2 day to Nassau will have a lot of press and travel agents. I've been on the Breeze and Vista Miami inaugurals and they were loaded with TA's. Will probably do the naming ceremony as well.
We've been saving up for about a year to do a Med cruise and the 10 day on April 29th looks to be our best option.

We only went to the dining room once on the Vista but we were able to get a table for 2 that was more secluded. You run a higher risk of having to wait but to us it's worth it.

There is never a charge to use any gym on any ship though I don't think it's open 24 hours (opens around 6am I think). Some of the classes you can sign up for do have a fee though.
This gym is deck 12-13 forward through the spa (like all Carnival ships I think).
There are plenty of ellipiticals to use and I never had an issue with the gym being crowded but every cruise is different.
There are changing rooms for men and women but I always change in the cabin and walk to the gym and back to my room.

Maybe for a day or two but I wouldn't be surprised if they started taking them down that morning. We were on the Sunshine for a NYE cruise and sailed the 28th. The decorations had already been taken down.

Thanks so much for taking the time to do this review. We sail in 10 days and can't wait.
Cannot agree more that Ben is the absolute best. One of the main reasons we booked this cruise.

With 2 bad knees there will be none of that for me. I did do the falls years ago though so I'm glad I got to see it when the knees were still good. I actually fell doing it but it was pretty to see. I looked at Resorts for a Day. Jewel s Dunns River Beach seems nice but it's $90pp for such a short time.

The time there was our main concern but we did end up booking. I'm a little disappointed we're not going to the Falls but I want my wife to play it safe for a little while longer while she recovers.

Hey Arzeena!
Hope you and hubby are well.
When will you guys be in Ocho Rios?
We're porting there on November 30th of the Vista.
I just finally decided to look into Ocho Rios and came across this thread. We might check this out.

Hey we're on the same cruise in November! I was looking at the Falls or tubing but with my wife still recovering from back surgery, we might be doing something a little more subdued. Going to check out resort for a day and see if anything catches my eye.
See ya in 39 days :D

We just had to make this same decision with flights back to Baltimore. We're Platinum so we can get off whenever we want (with self debark) which is a perk. I'd personally give yourself the extra time 'just in case'. You won't feel as rushed getting off, finding transportation, or dealing with the airport.

Just got back from the Pride to Bermuda cruise. We had 4230 and my parents had 4232. As always there was some vibration in the back. This floor may have a little more with an open dining room just below.
As far as anything else, it was all normal. I was definitely never shaken awake by whatever could possibly shake you awake. We had a bit of a bumpy night Monday where we hit a couple large swells that shook the entire ship but aside from that, nothing to fear with these rooms.
-
Yep,Molokai like we dodged a bullet on this one. The Pride is already in the mouth of the bay and should dock even earlier than normal so we'll have a normal boarding tomorrow. Might be a bit bumpy the first day or so but that's what the Cheers package is for :D
-
The Pride is heading back early. Skipping Freeport tomorrow and heading back to Baltimore to beat the storm. Should be dockside at 1am Sunday.
I've spent the better part of my morning looking for any information on this and I haven't been able to find anything for an update. Can you tell me where you got this information and put my mind at ease? TYIA

3 days :D
Can't wait to be back on her with the 2.0 upgrades!
-
Probably going to be some rough seas for those coming back to Charleston and Baltimore. With those models, I just don't see how the Pride is back in port on time.
-
Since I'm sailing out of Baltimore this Sunday, I'm keeping a close eye on this storm. At this point I have no idea when the Pride will be back in Baltimore as Hermine will be directly in the path of the ship coming back from Freeport this weekend. I'm expecting a delay in arrival Sunday and a delay for our embarkation. Still a little too early to tell though.

They are Monday and Friday nights

As long as it's out of Baltimore, it's Monday and Friday. I'm not sure about when it's out of Tampa as it'll probably depend on the itinerary.
-
Being platinum and getting on the ship quite early, we always head to our room first. We always run into closed doors but never let it stop us :p They're not locked :D

Unfortunately there is no sports bar on the Breeze. They have tv's in the casino bar (which has a lot of smoke) and then some in the Red Frog Pub (but not always on sports).
They had no idea how successful and popular the Alchemy Bar would be when they designed the Breeze. Hopefully it'll be part of it's first upgrade. Finding a bartender who can make any of those drinks might be a challenge as different bars have different liquors. I'd suggest finding a recipe for a couple of the ones you liked and bring it with you and hope for the best.
The Breeze is still probably my favorite ship but I get to sail on the Pride with all the 2.0 upgrades next week so I'm looking forward to that.

The pillows are great! My wife actually bought some from the online store and they're the best pillows we've ever had
-
Be aware of the staggered check in at Baltimore now. The lines getting into parking are apparently longer but the process after seems smoother.
It will be cold the first and last day (will probably need a jacket if outside). First sea day will probably be on the cool side as well but should start warming up 2nd sea day. Weather should be great at the ports. We rarely get snow that early so I wouldn't worry about that.
Pride is a great ship and probably even better after the 2.0 upgrades. I can't wait to be on her in 4 weeks. Enjoy.

Get a Cuba Libre at the Havana Bar. It's a double that's charged as a single.
Other than that, I'd NEVER sail the Sunshine again. Overcrowded and horribly designed.

On the site that shall not be named. Search Carnival Cruise Lines Piano Bar-barians
Conquest 6 day Nassau, Half Moon Cay, Grand Turk, Amber Cove.

Just booked this itin over Thanksgiving. I'd bet a lot of money the first formal will be the first sea day (which is the day after embarkation here). They never have formal night the night before debarkation so I'd venture to guess day 5 which is HMC for us. That's just an educated guess though.
