  1. We are trying to book an Alaska cruise roundtrip from Van c in August.  We cruise often, but never to Alaska and never to Vancouver.  For those of you Phoenicians that cruise, what's your choice?  Seattle, then shuttle, bus or train to Vancouver?  Direct flight (which airline) to Vancouver?

We are looking to stay at Pan Pacific for 2 nights prior.  Don't know if we should stay a night after or go home.  Recommendations/suggestions are welcome.  We normally fly American or Hawaiian.

  2. Since the end of covid, we've sailed 7 times, 5 on Navigator.  The food in the MDR has slowly declined.  Case in point, Turkey dinner.  My DH loves all white meat and was very happy with it until our last cruise in Sept.  The turkey didn't even look like turkey, but was a thinly cut piece of Turkey rolled around some dressing.  Hardly any gravy.  I made the mistake of ordering dark meat.  Funny, they looked identical.  Both were awful.   It was their recipe for 5 cruises, so it's their inconsistency.  We will not eat in MDR anymore. Rather pay extra for specialty.  We enjoy Chops, Izumi and LOVED Hooked.  We will keep doing UDP.   Are we Foodies?  I don't think so, but we do enjoy a nice dinner with tasty food.

  3. Side question- we have the following booked

    7 day Navigator. 11/27

    3 day Navigator  1/26

    4 day Navigator 1/29

    The last two are b2b

We got unlimited dining on the 1st 2, but they haven't yet offered it on the 4 day.  Does anyone know why?   With the current sales, I'd like to take advantage of sale prices.  Been looking daily.

  4. We haven't used our 23 Tier Certificates from April because we weren't interested in an inside cabin.  We are currently booked on a 4 day Navigator and would like to do a b2b adding Jan 26 to our Jan 29.  Can we use he tier certificate and more importantly  can DH and I combine these certificates to get a better cabin?  I've searched and cannot find the answer.  We are both diamond and prime.

  5. Sorry you had embarkation issues.  We were on same cruise, arrived via Lyft about 1050 for an 1100 checkin.  We did have a suite, so did get expedited check in.  No problem getting porter but only had 2 bags.  We were onboard by 1107.  Saw the lines that probably caught you.  We've sailed out of San Pedro 5 times in last 12 months, never had issues there.  We sailed out of Tampa in Dec.  Ships couldn't get to port due to heavy fog.  Hours of delays with little to no communications from RCI.  Finally got to ship at 9, waited in line 90 min.  Boarded at 11 pm with a 11 am check in.  Imagine 2 ships embarking and disembarking simultaneously.

  6. Just returned from a 7 day on Navigator.  Slightly swollen ankles after 1 hr flight but continued swelling all cruise.  Drank tons of bottled water daily.  Moderate drinking.  Did the alphabet routine.  Will see Dr this week for routine chemo/immunotherapy, which I think are contributing.  Can't stop cruising, so hope has some ideas.  We've cruised 5 times in last year and always swelling.  Thought I'd post to bring this back up to a top issue.  I did notice quite a few others swollen cruise ankles.  Any other ideas?

  7. We just got off Navigator yesterday.  Department heads put in their wish lists two weeks ago, but haven't gotten results yet.  They are going to Singapore for 6 weeks.  Different opinions if they will have any passengers on board.  The crew members we talked to were pretty excited about the journey.

We earned more credits, not sure if going Jan, Feb or May.  Already booked for this Sept.
