Hello! We will be bringing two 28" suitcases and a garment bag on our upcoming cruise. I'm assuming the suitcases will fit under the bed. I would also love to take my MedCline pillow. It's so bulky, and that would mean another suitcase. Will there be enough space to store all of this luggage?

@capriccio I'm glad I saw this. That seems pretty far, and I actually don't think there's a shuttle. I'm going to call to be 100% sure. It seems like the Avis location might be better?

Yes! Economy rental car. I was able to book it on Priceline.

The line outside the terminal begins early. By 9:30 it's quite long. Disembarking is completed between 9:30 and 10:00am. The intransit passengers are then processed through immigration. Somewhere around 10:00 to 10:30am embarking passengers are allowed to enter the terminal, pass through security and then are split into green and blue lanes. Blue lane passengers make a very quick stop to pick up their medallions. At approximately 11am, maybe a little before boarding begins. Once started it goes quickly. Cabins are not available until around 12:30 to 1pm.
You can figure your timing based on the above standard information.
Thank you!! This is very helpful!

Hello! We are going to rent a car from FLL, stay overnight, and then drop it off at Port Everglades. What time should I select to drop it off? I was thinking 10:30 a.m., but now I'm wondering if that's way too early.

Thank you both!

Hi, cruisers!
I have a guaranteed mini-suite cabin for an upcoming sailing of the Enchanted. Are there any obstructed-view mini-suites? I didn't realize it at the time of booking because it didn't say anything. Would it have said "obstructed" at the time of booking? Thanks!

Hello! I used a placeholder credit card in the app as my "shipboard" credit card. I don't know if we will utilize that credit card or just our debit card for onboard expenses. It looks like on the app when you reserve dining, it's charged right to your credit card at the time of booking. Is that correct? I wanted to start booking dining but wanted some flexibility to cancel once I have more info on evening shows, MDR menus, and other activities.

I'm interested to know the "special menu items" for Reserve Class! I can't find it anywhere.

Just a side note about the rude guest at dinner...
It may be a generational thing, but people are no longer standing idle while they watch a guest berate an employee. Interject. Just be firm and calm. “Sir, you're being inappropriate.” If he snaps back, you can say, “I’m sorry you got the wrong drink. I’m sure you would agree we’d all like to move on and enjoy our dinner.”
It's the same as my elementary school-aged kids. If they see someone bullying another kid, they're supposed to speak up.

My last trip was on the Gem “Holiday Cruise” in December 2019. The cigar lounge was always filled with cigarette smokers. And most of them were older lady’s. I didn’t bother going in for a cigar, which was disappointing. A room filled with cigarette smoke is very different than a room filled with cigar smoke. Cigar smokers go to enjoy the aroma and complexity of a good cigar and to relax. Cigarette smokers go in to rush a quick smoke and satisfy their addiction. My next trip is on the Escape. I hope the lounge is off limits to the cigarette smokers, or I will not go.
That's good to know!
I didn't even think about cigarette smell. I could see how that would crowd the cigar lounge. I'm a non smoker but I feel like there should be more options for people to smoke on cruise ships. They're still paying, and they're not second class citizens for goodness sakes.

I've been on both. Escape is a far superior ship and it's not even close. The Navigator after the dry dock was OK, but I just like the NCL layout/product better.
Thank you, that helps me immensely!

I’ve been on both and love both. The Navigator was amplified fairly recently so it’s even better than when I was on it.
Because I enjoy both ships I would go with the better value and longer cruise. Thanks, I'm thinking the same. Now just need to convince my mom to watch the kids an extra day! "I could have sworn I said we'd be back Thursday and not Wednesday!" LOL

Next to fuel/maintenance I would think payroll would be their biggest expense. I'd imagine with passenger capacity being lower the crew will decrease significantly.

It's so funny you say that! I'm the same way. I'm a non smoker and really don't mind cigar smoke either.

HI Friends!
I currently have two cruises booked for the same week in 2021. Has anyone been on both the Navigator and Escape? How would you compare the two? The Navigator is way more expensive by the time you add in the unlimited drinking, dining, and internet. It's also 1 day shorter. Those are the biggest reasons I'm leaning towards Escape!
We've been on two RCL cruises (Oasis Class) and on the NCL Epic once.
Thanks in advance for your opinions 🙂

Oh, that's a shame to hear. I really enjoyed the cigar lounge on the Encore (and there was a decent selection available for purchase).
I'm not 100% sure that's the case. But all of searches I've done on the NCL boards seem to say so 😞

Hi there!
I understand that Escape no longer has a cigar lounge for smokers. I'm wondering if they sell cigars at the Tobacco Road bar? Also, does anyone have pictures of the smoking area that's attached to Spice H20? Thanks! We have a cruise booked for February 2021 that I hope will actually happen!

I was on the same sailing and agree on most. The fixtures, furniture and carpet were all very worn and need to be replaced.
Cleanliness was pretty good. Our sheets weren’t changed during the week. -usually not a big deal because I only change sheets once a week at home. I believe when we were on NCL they were changed every other day.
Oh and I noticed the toe nail clippings on the balcony too! What’s up with that !?
Still had an awesome time!!

Do you still need to prebook to see the diving show?
Did not see an option for that entertainment like you need for other shows. In the past you needed to.
Thx
We pre booked all shows in the cruise planner!

Glad to hear things aren't so horrid, as some of the people on this message board portray Oasis to be. Will you be filming any videos of the tables at Windjammer and uploading them to YouTube? [emoji23]
