Couple of quick questions for you.

How much wine was available, did they limit you on how much you could drink?

Did the attendees drink much wine?

How late are the hot tubs open? We will be on the Pearl next week.

I have been out there at 2 am and they were being used. I think as long as the ocean is not too rough they stay open a long time.

Nice video Squidward. Heres a little science for you. You can't see the dark side of the moon. What you are seeing is the Earths umbra, or shadow, that is being cast onto the moon.

Thanks! But I still say it is the dark side of the moon, what you are describing I would say is when the shadow passes across the moon during an eclipse. :)

Have you cruised the Pearl for any of the Sixthman music cruises? If so what is your opinion and are any videos? We are first time cruisers and are doing the Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea in feb 2015 and are quite excited but gaze some questions.

I have not sailed on any of the music cruises. The Pearl is a nice ship and you should have a wonderful cruise! If you have any questions try using the search tool, they may have been asked before and answered. If not, post a question on the main NCL forum here and I am sure it will be answered for you.

Thanks. The music is from Sony, it is a royalty free soundtrack that came with some of my video editing software. It is one of the Cumbia soundtracks.

I wonder how that will affect the revenue for NCL? One of the nice things about the soda package was that parents could buy it for their kids and not for themselves if they did not drink the stuff. My missus would never spend the money for soda, she does not drink it, just tea and coffee. I on the other hand would sometimes buy the package for myself for a little change in drinks. I will just bring a 12 pack on board from now on so I can have some ginger ale when I want some.

Instead of "Corkage fee" they should call it "wine carry on fee". You can bring on as many bottles as you want, just pay $15 for each 750ml bottle. At the end of the cruise you can ask to be refunded for any un-opened bottles. The only wine I bring on is one bottle of a very good port that I like to drink a glass of at dinner time.

Nobody has been successful in fact you can't upgrade or change cabins at the pier. If any cabins are available you will need to check onboard at the Guest Services desk.

But when you visit Guest Services Desk as soon as you board it would be at the pier.

I would think that the chances of getting an upgrade would be pretty slim. I am sure NCL would have been calling with up sales before the ship was at the pier.

Paracord and clothesline clips plus a little liquid detergent sure can come in handy!

Here is a video of the buffet on the Pearl, this was the second cruise with the change. We really enjoyed the buffet and the lobster was very good. I have had lobster that has been great to poor, I was raised in Key West as a child and one of my dad's was a lobster man. We ate lobster all the time. I have also live up in the NE US and use to get cold water lobsters also. I am not a lobster snob, just a man that likes to eat them.:D

The lobsters on the Pearl this time was very good compared to some other NCL cruises we have taken.

No need to sail the Sun to get a good pastry. Your corner bakery probably has better treats and cost less.

My corner bakery is horrible! I miss good pastries so much. I always stop at a bakery when in Miami to bring home some guava cheese pastries.

I need to sail the Sun again, a great ship, plus I like pastries!

I work with the casino manager to try and get rum punch drinks for the players and maybe a couple bottles of sparkling wine.
