It was Wee Jimmy but now it is Mikey on the Sunshine he is great. Hopefully he will still be on the Sunshine in April 2019.

I am thinking of booking Oasis of the Seas for April or May of 2019. I have only sailed Carnival in the past like 8 or 9 times so I have a few questions about RC.
I know you need reservations for the shows...how far in advance can you book these?
How much is RC drink package and is it like Carnival that every person over 21 in cabin has to buy it?
Is it best to just book online?
Does RC have picture packages if so are they reasonably priced?
Guess that is all for now. Thanks

In May we went to the same ports on the Sunshine. In St. Kitts (now one of my favorite ports) we did the 4x4 Safari and Beach Tour (Carnival Tour) this was a lot of fun one of the best Carnival tours we have taken. We saw a lot of the island and spent an hour at a beach.

Yes we had him in May on the Sunshine he is great. He is full of energy and is very friendly, his 80's trivia/show in the atrium is a must see. The best CD we have had out of 9 cruises.

All of those are under the galley I would not book any of those but I am a light sleeper.

Have done about 8 cruises with Carnival but I feel I need to try a new cruise line..was looking at NCL Breakaway or Epic and Royal's Oasis. For those that have been on all 3 cruise lines tell me what you thought about these ships.
Are their prices for drinks, pictures, pay for food about the same prices as Carnival?
Thanks

If I book a Spa Interior room do you all suggest Deck 11 or 12 on the Magic?
-
I know nothing is a guarantee but for those that have been what was your experience with weather mainly temp in December, ports are Half Moon Cay & Nassau.
Thanks

What is the difference in cost, or is that not a factor? I would always opt for 8 nights vs 7, and Aruba & Curacao are two of my favorite ports.
Breeze is like $10 more than Sunshine for a cabin on Lido. So basically same price. Sunshine has 3 ports and 4 sea days vs Breeze 4 ports and 3 sea days.

Trying to decide between these 2 cruises for next April. Leaning toward Sunshine.
Sunshine--Aruba, Curacao, Amber Cove 8 day 4/19/19
Breeze--Amber Cove, St. Thomas, San Juan, Grand Turk 7 day 4/20/19
Thoughts??

I am thinking about this exact cruise for April 2019 except Amber Cove instead of Grand Turk did you feel like 4 sea days was too many? The most I have had in one cruise is 3 days.

Hi,
We just got off the Sunshine today and want to share our thoughts. First some background, we are Elite on Princess and have sailed twice on NCL during those cruises. Our son got married on a Carnival cruise, our first on Carnival, and we have only sailed them since and our next cruise will put us up to Platinum. We have heard all the comments about the Sunshine, you either love it or hate it, we loved it. We can get more specific in the next coming days, but we just got back home a short while ago and we are exhausted.
We were also on this cruise and we also LOVED the Sunshine. We will be back on for the Southern route before she leaves PC April 19, 2019. I hope Mikey is still the CD then we really loved him.

I have only been on 1 Royal cruise maybe in 2001 0r 2002 I mainly cruise with Carnival but I have been looking and I found a 10 night cruise I am interested in..my first question is when I go to Royal's website I cannot find any price but the sale they have going on and it is non refundable this cruise is not until 2020 so I want a refundable rate. Do I have to call to book instead of doing it online?
And next question is can you tell me the biggest differences in Royal and Carnival?
Thanks

Thinking of booking one for next fall anyone who has been on a Bermuda cruise can u let me know if you enjoyed it, and anything not to miss.
Thanks

Will a cruise the week of Easter feel like I am on a Summer cruise (crowds)? Thinking of doing a Southern route on Sunshine it leaves on April 19, 2019.

We never waited on the Sunshine two weeks ago and we went at different times thought out the week...I liked it it was our first time trying it. Will definitely keep doing your time dining.
It was in Aft dining room on deck 3.

Planning to cruise on the Magic next Oct just husband and I we usually do interiors on Lido (love staying on Lido)but on this cruise I could get a Spa interior for only $90 more. Which would you do regular interior on Lido or Spa interior on deck 11?
-
We just returned from our last cruise on Sunday it was our first cruise with your time dining because my husband likes early but I wanted to give it a try and we both LOVED anytime dining. We had 2 late ports and we still could eat in the dining room with no problem and never any rushing to get there at a certain time. We never had to wait to be seated and we went at different times. Same dining room just one floor was for anytime dining. So no more set dining times for us.

This cruise was mine and my husbands 9th cruise all with Carnival but one. I really liked the Sunshine although to me it seems to have more movement and rocking than any other ship I have been on, but the weather on the first full day was NOT great, it was rainy and windy but the movement still continued even when weather improved.
Mikey was our Cruise Director and was the best cruise director I have sailed with. He was everywhere and had energy out the roof. This cruise was his first on the Sunshine he had just returned from vacation he used to be on I think the Fantasy.
We went to some comedy shows they were great and yes the lounge where they have comedy is small but we always got in and only once sat on the side with TV screens just try to get there about 20 minutes early. We also went to several shows Epic Rock was the best. We watched 2 dive in movies they were great.
In the past we have always had early dining but this time we tried your time dining we really liked it and will do it again. We just checked in on deck 5 and got a ticket and went down to deck 3 Aft and we were seated we never had to wait. We ate in Lido one night the other nights in the dining room. We did not eat at any pay for places this cruise.
Loved the Havana Bar area in the back of Lido deck that is where we ate most mornings and at lunch we would get our food and take it back there. And the bartenders back there are great too.
I will say that it was hard to find chairs on the Lido on sea days and only once did we get a chair on Serenity but we did sleep in on sea days so maybe if you are an early riser you can find one.
Mikey had a great 80's trivia(party) in the Lobby the last night.
Sunshine has a Shakespot and those milk shakes are great.
I would gladly cruise the Sunshine again I was a little worried from all the bad reviews but I think you should try it for yourself because you will be missing out on a great ship and a great cruise director and a great time.

If anybody knows answer please help...trying to decide weather to purchase or not...if I purchase the $99 picture package can I also buy a few additional pictures if I want to or I am limited to just 5-- photos plus 1-- 16x20?
-
We always drive in the day before we live about 5 1/2 hours away. Most all the hotels around that area have park & cruise packages that include parking and shuttle to and from the port.
-
Are these photo packages offered on all ships or just some?
-
Yes give it a day they will show back up I just did this also a few weeks ago.

in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
Debating on 2 cruises one leaves Easter weekend and the other one weekend before Memorial Day which one do you really experienced cruisers think would be the most crowded?
