  1. No thanks. I'll bring a plastic ones and dispose of them properly. I think walking around with a stainless steel straw all day would be "pretty lame."

I agree with you, I'll be bringing my plastic ones also. Which I will make sure get disposed of properly.

  2. Geez, I guess next time before I make a comment about not knowing something I will read every article I can possibly find. Let me explain, the NCL bidding for an upgrade is new to me since my last NCL cruise. When I book a cabin, I prefer to know exact location and even down to the room number, so I would not even bid for an upgrade. If I ever did decide I wanted to take part in the upgrade you can bet I would read all of the "RandRs". Just because some are abundant in their knowledge of all the rules and regulations, doesn't mean everyone on CC is.

Don't let the nasty comments get to you, some of these posters just like to be nasty all the time. Please feel free to come to CC with your questions as not everyone is snarky. I've been a member long enough to know which posters to ignore.

  3. OP so sorry about what happened and I'm glad you shared as maybe others considering doing this type of nuptial will reconsider. I had no issue reading your letter and hope that you get some type of refund for the spoiled day. Congrats and enjoy your new married life.

  4. Horseshoe Bay 100%. Others are nice too, but none more beautiful than Horseshoe. Walk all the way to the left past and in between gorgeous rocks and small cliffs jutting out of the water and on the shoreline. You will pass the crowds and have and have an incredible view! On the extreme right is the tiny cove-like Baby Beach which is nice to see lots of fish in the calm water and small crabs crawling on the rocks. I used to take the bus and therefore get the 2 day pass, but haven`t the last couple times. There are shuttles available directly to and from the beach for 7$ a person. When I calculated what I really needed for my plans the 2 day pass wasn`t worth it for me. It`s maybe 10 minutes away so an easy morning and early afternoon beach day and time saved not waiting for buses. We went back to the ship and were able to have a late lunch and relax on the ship later on.

Agree with this, we did the 2 day pass the first time there and didn't get our monies worth. With the free ferry to St. Georges use the shuttle service and head to Horseshoe. Walk a little ways and you'll find the cove. Been on a tour of several beaches and other than Warwick, Horseshoe was the nicest.

  5. Same beach, same reef.

And I think the packages are about the same $.

IMO, the outdoor showers and locker/dressing room at Bananarama give it a bit more sway. Food at Beachers was better though. But you had to pay for food at BR anyway, so easy to walk up to Beachers.

Paradise good be a good option as in the past they've tended to be a bit less crowded. But not sure if they offer transportation like other two. And transportation included is a great value over separate taxi fare if docking at Mahogany Bay.

I went thru a excursion website and was offered transportation. I felt we got a good deal, we're going in July and it's $34 pp and includes trans, pool, 1 drink, lunch, lounger and use of towels. Will report back after.

  6. Haven't been to West Bay yet but I was also debating pretty much this same question. My choices were between Paradise or Beachers. After a lot of searching we decided to go with with Paradise as "supposedly" the best snorkeling is in front of the Grand Roatan and Paradise is closer to this area. I have read that Beachers is awesome but looks to be a little further away from Grand Roatan than what we wanted. Again, I could be wrong but this is what I found when searching. We booked Paradise for $34 pp which includes transportation, lunch, 1 drink and lounger. Enjoy your trip and let us know how you make out.

  7.

    I drink a lot and haven't hit the 15 limit. Maybe I don't drink enough?! :D

I would like NCL too if I had no experience with other lines. You know Carnival was started by one of the original NCL founders?

When I find a product I like I stay with it and someday hope to cruise with RCL or another cruiseline but again will never cruise with Carnival.

  8. You are correct. Royal and Carnival have far superior drink packages. NCL is terrible. Can't even get bottled water! They close the bar during shows, etc. Carnival has a limit of $50 per drink on the package, you can get whatever you want. Royal has a limit of $13 (compared to NCL $15) but NCL gouges you so bad on pricing you actually get far less than Royal. I could get almost any liquor I wanted on Royal, couldn't even get Gentlemen Jack on NCL.[/quot

While Carnival may give you higher priced drinks they cut you off after 15 drinks in a day. Also, I've been to many shows on NCL and never had the bar closed must have been your trip. Would never sail Carnival but would love to try RCL but for the time being NCL has everything I want and I love the ships I've been on.

  9. We did the Catamaran and snorkel excursion and really enjoyed it. We did this the 1st day we were in Bermuda and then did Horseshoe beach the next day. Our last day some of our party went to snorkel park while hubby and I did souvenir shopping. They enjoyed snorkel park but said they wouldn't do again.

  10. I beg your pardon!!!

I have seen You Tube Videes where people show off thier cabin and the mess that they make in it is astounding to me. They even video the bathrooms and they haven even flushed the toilet!

Lets say for fun that this guest make the huge mess on the balcony and is now complaining....I asked a simple question, not a stupid one despite your remarks. ;p[/quote

I agree with you that some of the messes people make are unbelievable , I would be embarrassed to have my room steward clean it. I also wondered who and why there were potato chips on the balcony and although OP had young children I would have made a effort to clean them up. When a review is this negative I tend to take it with a grain of salt.
