We don't know up to what size ship they can / will tender. That's the question. Time constraints, number of tenders available, etc.
The tenders are on the ship. All ships tender at some ports dependant on itinerary. I don't see why there would be an issue tendering at any port that the dock wasn't available.

Why can't they just tender? Seems crazy that they might cancel a port when tendering is an option.

I'll be sure to pay attention to his performance. Looking forward to MDQ.

Is your son still playing Carl Perkins? We sail in July, so assume we will see him perform?

Thanks, I'm sorry if this is redundant..but with imessaging, to use it - didn't you have to still purchase a wifi package? We do have iPhones, so would love to use whatever is most reliable to keep in touch easily and quickly!
I plan on getting the social media plan just for my phone so that we can keep in touch with our pet-sitter back home...but if iMessage works without buying a plan then I certainly want to use it [emoji4]
Thank you!
No. There is a loophole that if you connect to the ships WiFi you can use imessage, although you don’t have internet access. I believe it works even if you don’t pay for the messaging through iconcierge, but we have always just bought that anyway.
So don’t buy the social media package until you have tried imessaging. I’m sure it’ll work fine without that extra cost.

The iconcierge app although not perfect does work well and if you all have iPhones then imessaging using the ships wifi works almost all the time.

What an overly dramatic thread title. [emoji23]. I'm no fan of smoke, have sailed on
The Epic 4 times and never had an issue.

I just booked the Epic for the Med next year. It is was a fantastic price with the 3/4 guests sailing free. I have teenagers and a family balcony will be tight, but I think since it is so port intensive it won't matter as much. Everything else was booked....first time on NCL..fingers crossed.
We have sailed the Epic 4 times with our two girls at various ages. In October 2017 they were 13 and 15 and given the fact they operate at different times/schedules from us, the space is fine. Plenty storage IMO.

On the website, in your Cruise Planner.
Thanks Dina

Just need to watch the cruise planner, log in a couple of times a week, or participate in your roll call, as somebody else may find it and post it.
Thanks. Not booked yet, hopefully Monday and as you can see from my name, I'm new to RCI [emoji6]

Sailing on HOTS, June 9th. It's currently on sale for $47. I've seen it for $45, but didn't jump on it. Any idea how often, and how close to sail date it goes on sale?
Where do you see the sale? On the RCI website?

srdancer pretty much summed it up. Definitely book those 3 shows in advance. There will be other shows you don't have to reserve, like comedy and guest entertainers.
Also reserve the Northstar (the sort of london eye thing that goes up in the air) and iFly (simulation sky diving) in advance.
If you want the escape room, book the first day. I believe it's done at guest services now, but someone clarify. When I went on in May 2016, I was given the runaround on that regarding where to book. They also have bumper cars, trapeze class, roller skating, flowrider, rock wall, all things that don't require reservations.
If you're interested in specialty dining, look out for the First Two Nights BOGO, $40 for two specialty restaurants the first two nights of the cruise. You can usually find that on cruise planner. Also if you're interested in the Deluxe beverage package, look for sales. Lowest I've seen on the Anthem is $42.
Re. The sales of drinks packages, where would you find this? On the website, emails?

Thanks. I’ll be need a new CC name before venturing into the RCI boards [emoji38]

Thanks. Makes me a little sad. But to be honest the cruise choice is looking like Anthem, so I'll need to take a small hit on the view.

My cruise bucket list includes sailing from New York. Next year we were planning to sail with NCL Escape in the summer, however plans need to change and we are now looking at RCI Anthem out of Liberty at the start of April.
My question is, will I be disappointed that I am not sailing from NYC? i.e are the views of the NY Skyline the same, do we sail close enough to the Statue of Liberty to see her well?
Thanks

Found it. It’s not coming up when I picked March and April. But when I switch to just April it appears. Bizarre. Thanks folks.

The OP is questioning April 2019, not 2018. I see the Escape doing 7 day bahamas and florida dep April 7 2019.
John
Haha, I hadn’t noticed that.
Could you screen shot the April 7th sailing as it’s not showing up on mine. Thanks.

I see it on the NCL website:
The Escape does not sail to Bermuda until April 22. On April 14 is a 6 day cruise out of Miami and that is the last Florida cruise for this ship before it heads north
That April 7th sailing not in UK site and the Escape sails from NYC-NYC on 31st March until 7th April. So couldn’t sail from Miami on the 7th???
Either the US site is wrong or UK site.

Would anyone like to hazard a guess why The Escape has no itinerary scheduled for April 7th 2019? It is doing The Bahamas weekly up until March 31st and then Bermuda from April 14th.
Thanks

Don't retreat, join us on the Fun side of cruising :)
Thanks for clarifying, with new Carnival ships coming on line it's hard for me to keep up.
Haha. I'm having plenty fun where in am. But I never say never [emoji6]

Is the Garden Cafe only on some Carnival ships? Never heard of it.
Sorry. Didn't realise I had ventured out my safe zone. I'll retreat. But yes, GC is the buffet on all NCL ships.

Combination of MDR and Garden Cafe. Only used room service once (on Glacier bay day).

Sky and footwear for men
in Norwegian Cruise Line
Posted
Shouldn't be an issue. Shorts shouldn't be allowed in the more formal of the two dining rooms (does the Sky have two MDR's?). It depends on how strictly they inforce it.
