  1. We've been in the crown loft suites on both the Oasis and the Allure.

On the 17th floor, you are correct regarding the "room hallways" and the "Coastal Kitchen / Suite lounge" are accessible with only a key card.

Because of our room proximity we really enjoyed the lounge and the Coastal Kitchen for all occasions.

In fact it really dissuades me from considering an owners suite or grand suite on other deck.

The Oasis class certainly has become our favorite and we really aren't considering the Quantum class ships at all.

  2. We are leaving in 4 weeks on the oasis. I was concerned about the food lines. We are pretty early eaters (breakfast, etc) I was just curious if noticed what times were the peak times? Does that make sense? lol. I am usually up eating breakfast at home by 6am (sometimes earlier than that) and lunch 11am. Any help would be appreciated. It will be our 1st cruise ever. Thanks :)

We've been on both the Allure and Oasis and I was up in the windjammer around 7am at the earliest and there was hardly a crowd. No lines or waiting and lots of tables available.

Unless you're talking about port days and then it was busier if it was an early port disembark.

Also the wipeout cafe (made to order omelets) it was never busy that early in the morning.

In fact I'm not certain they don't actually start serving at any breakfast venues earlier than 7am unless it's an early port day?

Regardless I confident You'll have a wonderful time I'm certain!

  3. We've been in lofts on both the Allure and Oasis and never had plumbing issues.

In fact on the Allure we had 4 in the cabin with one member of the party who is a

    notorious clogger with no problem.

Hope your results are even better.

In fact we're going to be on Allure again here in a few weeks and expecting the same

    trouble free suite experience!

  4. We too found check in a breeze and the ship is impressive voom Internet works well but there doez not seem to be an easy way to Log out which you need to do in order to use another device. We have 2 phones and 2 tablets with us. I could stream from my dish app to the tv to watch local news with no issues.

The bad the computer system crashed yesterday so no tv no Internet no phones. We could not get a list of what we had reserved for the first night. Our room is nice but the bathroom had not really been cleaned well. The schedule for today did not show the lecture at 10 AM from the fox studio executive which was very good once we found where it was. The ship is amazingly disorganized and hard to believe it is not the first month it has been sailing. Dinner last night was good but rice and ravioli were both undercooked. They were very tasty better than the bland Celebrity food our last TA. But the disorganized matter of the ship overall would have a give either the ship or RCL in general a pass. I can't even find a pocket map of the ship. The app you can download seems to be more an ad than useful. Maybe being so large I expected better organization than they have?

The quickest (and easiest) way to log your device out of the internet is to open your browser and go to " logoff.com " and then you'll be all set. Our kids taught us that on our last cruise on Allure as we paid for unlimited internet on only 2 devices.

  5. We have Sprint service and were on the Allure (in March) and had the wi-fi service for two devices and were able text between both with no problems.

Additionally because you're on wi-fi there were no charges for any of our messages sent.

In fact I was able to send messages (and receive) from the mainland with no problem either.

You should always be able to text with no charge (and no problems) using wi-fi only.

We will be on the Oasis next week as well and plan to do the same again.

    See you there!

  6. We've found as a couple that it really is a better massage and value to do the massage or treatments you want individually.

Not that anything in the spas on a cruise ship is a value.

However with the couples massage they kind of skimp your individual time to do the "couples" thing. We did it once and felt pretty much that way and we even gave it another shot and came up the same.

Just "our" opinion as a couple.

  7. For those of you that are knowledgeable regarding Starbucks on RCI ships,

Are the prices consistent with those on land?

Additionally can you utilize your Starbucks card for purchases and reward redemption, and if so do they give you proper credit (stars) for purchases like regular Starbucks locations?

    Thanks in advance!

  8. Well Leigh told the whole boat on the farewell show that he was just filling in (his real title is activities director I believe)... they showed a video of him and Spacey and explained that Spacey was the director and that is why he was in all the Royal Caribbean commercials that are on the TVs....

They said that Spacey would be going to Oasis in December but not that he wouldn't be back on the ship.... guess we can all ask the people who return for this weeks cruise who was their CD

We are onboard the Freedom now on the Eastern route and Leigh Daniels is still the cruise director.

To answer the other question posted about formal nights they were Monday (Coco Cay day) and Thursday (St. Maarten) and the lobster and prime rib were good tonight.

Good weather, great ship and lots of fun.

    Big day at sea tomorrow!
