  1. Heading out on a cruise fro Port Canaveral in 30 days. I decided to start getting my paperwork together and just discovered that my passport is expired.  It did not even DAWN on my to look.  The rest on my family is good with their passports.  I doubt I can get a renewal in 30 days. I looked and found my birth certificate.  I have both a hospital AND an county one.  From  what I read below:

Official Birth Certificate and a supporting Government Issued Photo ID, like a driver’s license or an identity card. Please note that hospital Birth Certificates (baby feet Birth Certificates) are not accepted.

...I should be good with my FL drivers license and County Birth Certificate.  By Birth certificate is really old original for 1976, will that be an issue?

  2. I posted this two years ago and got some good answers but now that our cruise is finally round the corner (March), I wanted to follow up and see if this is still the case.  The answers I received two years ago stated that we could buy wine by the bottle with dinner and buy more bottles if we wanted to take back to the cabin.  So could I buy 2 bottles of wine after dinner to take to the cabin?

My wife and I drink wine, but do not want to spend a  lot for the drink package.  We planned on getting the unlimited dining package. It lists 40% off bottles of wine. Based on some wine lists I saw, we could get a decently cheap bottle and get 40% off. It would be about $25 a bottle. What I we finish a bottle, can we buy another? Can we take the unfinish portion to the cabin?

Are there any "gotchas" with this deal?  RCL seems to have more suprises in fine print that I remember from Celebrity.

  3. I am sure this has been asked, but I hear that it might be possible to get a refund from FCC for canceled cruises.  I was set to sail on Mariner of the seas March 16 2020. I canceled with their cancellation program and got FCC.  It might be a long while till we could use it, especially if nothing is sailing out of Canaveral.  HAs any policy changed that would allow it to be possible to get a refund?

  4. We canceled our March 16th cruise as part of the updated cancellation program.  I have a cancellation number from the phone call when I canceled.  They said all prepaid refundable money (prepaid spa services, prepaid gratuities, taxes fees) would be refunded in 9-10 business days. I received an email regarding the new Future cruise credit as well.  I have yet to see anything back on my card of the refundable $$.  Of course I should call them, but I wanted to reach out here first and see if this is normal for this situation.  Anyone else having issues getting their money back?

  5. Anyone have an estimate of the hold time?  I am currently at 1 hour 9 minutes.  Earlier today around 3pm EST I was able to get through in about 15 minutes. Anyone think there are more phone staff in the morning / afternoon?

And did anyone hit "1" when the voice says "If you have questions about corona virus, please press 1" ?

I have been waiting too long to get screwed.

  6. I tried searching but the CC site has become a mess.

  7. I would like to do something simple like get the unlimited dining package from my wife and I.  We have 5 year old. But after reading this:

[For Cover Charge Products], Children between the ages of 0-5 are complimentary and ages 6-12 are $10 per child; children must order from the kids menu.  Please reserve product for all guests who wish to dine. Adult price will be applied for all guests regardless of age; the difference between the adult price and child price will be refunded in the form of a refundable onboard credit (unless booked with non-refundable credit, in which case OBC will be non-refundable). For Dining Packages, children ages 12 and under are excluded from offer.

It looks like I have to pay the adult price for my 5 year old, and then get a "...refundable onboard credit" Which is what exactly? Not sure why this can not be simple.
