You just turn up on Ventura. If you want a table for two and they are full they will issue a pager and you can sit in a lounge or bar and wait.

Okay thanks. We were on 18 months ago and you had to use the myholiday. We will need a table for 4

What exactly did you send to Stockperks - a broker statement or a link to your broker?

An up to date statement with all details on and dated. They accepted that it was when you have to go in and put your booking ref and date etc I that it later said invalidated and yes I did the date format correctly, the US way

  3. I put in a claim for later this year two weeks ago. I haven't had an e mail yet telling me whether it has been accepted but if I look on the app it has invalidated next to it. Shouldn't I have had something to tell me why it is invalidated. I've checked my junk mail as well.  Any advice please?

  4. Father Christmas appeared up by the funnel on Christmas Eve just before we left the port. I guess he couldn't do it at sea it would have been a bit hot up there. He then came down with his elves and joined in the sailaway

    This was on Arcadia .

  5. As has been said easy to get from Birmingham New Street Station to Birmingham International Station then 2 minutes on free monorail to inside the airport. Alternatively check out hotels in Solihull which is only a short taxi ride away. Also Greswolde Arms in Knowle a village just outside Solihull. ( Always in top places to live in UK)

  6. We have used a few times but we catch the coach from Hopwood Services on the M42 and that coach is one of the last scheduled to arrive at the dock so each time we have traveled we haven't arrived till nearly 4 o'clock so didn't get our luggage till well after dinner. It's unfortunate but if we were travelling from elsewhere in the country we would definitely use the coach all the time.

It’s a hard one. I’ve attended quite a few over the years on Aurora. Most attendees have been solo travellers in their own cabin. Some have travelled with friends who are in another cabin and some are sharing a cabin with a friend. I can only think of two instances where a husband and wife attended. Imo, only the latter is wrong.

    I agree.

You could be traveling with family or friends but that doesn't mean you do everything with them. They might go off on excusions perhaps which are too active for you or even that you can't afford or you just want to give them their own space.  Plus if you are single you might meet someone either romantically or just as a friend perhaps to cruise with again.

If you are not with your partner or proper family unit ( I.e. parents and young/teen children) you can definitely be classed asca solo traveller. That would just be mean to exclude someone.

We are thinking they may well have taken on a one year contract with Stockperks that covers the calendar year.  So could be to do with that, which would need renewing at a later date.  Just a thought.

    Good thinking

Your stockbroker should have emailed you giving details of how you can vote in the AGM.

No I have never had anything . My shares are held with a company that lots of people hold theirs with.

I sent off for my OBC for a Princess cruise on Tuesday afternoon just by email as we always used to and got a notification on Thursday saying it had been added.

  10. Silly question probably.

If we are shareholders shouldn't we get the chance to vote on things like we do with any shares we hold in banks etc? I've never had a list of resolutions to vote on sent to me in the 6 years I have had shares

  11. You need to go to a good Cruise Travel Agent, unfortunately we are not allowed to mention names on here, but I do know lots of us use the same one.  But what I would say is don't go to a normal travel agent, they often have little knowledge of cruises you must use a cruise agent.

I am very surprised the people at P & O themselves aren't being helpful as has been said complain direct to the CEO

Yes I told the woman on the phone on the booking we will require a accessible cabin. We have a so called "partially accessible room" which will not be fit for purpose. During the booking the term partially was never given. I feel like I may have been misadvised by the employee that day

Did you book direct with P & O or though a Travel Agent?

No mention of OBC concerns on other forums, either on here or elsewhere.

I have seen a couple of mentions on that well known platform. Some answers said they don't normally announce it till after the annual reports. So 🤞🤞they are right

  14. If you book an excursion before you sail previously you could pay with your OBC but I can't work out how to do it now. Can anyone help please. Also what happens ref your 10% Elite discount, you get it back as OBC once onboard do you?

There is usually  a table set up outside for people who haven’t printed their luggage labels so I presume you approach them and are given a generic one. You often see cases at the pursers office so perhaps that is where the ones without a cabin number go. Just make sure you have your name and booking reference on your luggage.

Thanks that must be what I have heard about with someone being outside

I must admit @amajaa that in those circumstances, I too would be concerned about how to deal with getting my luggage into the correct pod and who in Southampton to approach to obtain the correct information.

    Thanks not just me then🧳🚢

    I answered that above.

Well excuse me for not realising. I thought I had seen previously people saying you are told at the luggage pods so I was just questioning how you were told. I wouldn't want to risk my cases going though with no cabin number , we haven't had our luggage sometines till late at night so goodnesd knows if you would ever get them.

    We booked inside saver.

    We travel Friday on arvia

We've got cabin number, have registered credit card and just printed our boarding passes and luggage tags

The one thing I've not done yet is upload photos. Wouldn't work from my phone. Might try from laptop nearer the time.

The luggage tags have your cabin number on them so they need to allocate to you in advance

It says when you book can be allocated any time up to embarkation. The few tines ( years ago) when we booked Saver before we had the cabin allocated either 6 or 3 weeks before so were able to print labels etc .

My question is really if you haven't got your cabin number and you have labels without number on , what happens? Do you check in and then go back and put cabin numbers on or is someone by the luggage pods that gives you the cabin and deck number. As you have to put through specific pod depending on deck number.

  19. Thanks all, so will wait till 3 weeks before.

We have booked a Saver Fare this time for the first time in years and I was thinking they might be waiting for us to fill everything in before allocating a cabin, but obviously that can't be the case then.

I am hoping 🤞🤞 that they won't leave it till embarkation to give us cabin number, I will be stressing out by then.  What happens to your suitcases if we don't know cabin number? Anyone know?
