Anyone else notice from the deployment flyers that the Odyssey TA end in New Jersey. No TA released yet for Anthem.
A lot of ships in the Med over winter. Maybe Anthem staying??

I see now that European cruises for 2024 season are on the Swedish website, but whoa! What prices! For example 7 night Greece and Croatia cruise on Explorer 14th of sept 2024 in an inside cabin cost about $3400.
To compare a 7 night 14th of Sept cruise on ICON from Florida would cost $2650.
I know that European cruises are usually more expensive than those from the US but for these prices it would be cheaper to fly over to Florida and cruise from there than just the European cruise price. Crazy.
Check prices with a Us TA before you book.

Enchantment isn’t doing anything good next year like La Seyne, Corsica or Sardinia ?
Only Palma and Ibiza missing. No Ajaccio or Sardinia but Toulon in there, and lot more added. 4 different itinerary's instead of 2. I wouldn't mind doing 28 days on Enchantment but would prefer Voyager

Just wondering if Jewel Ta ill start in San Juan or will they do a repo first.

Sounds like Voyager is doing the “interesting” Med ports like Vision did this year.
Same as Enchantment next year. The one to Alexandria, Limassol and Ashdod would be good

Encore not doing good. I saw a gangway collapsed in Panama with 9 requiring hospital treatment.
Not Ncl's fault in this case

Bad luck for us Scandinavian cruisers 😞
Bit disappointing. Fjords, Oslo and other Baltic ports could have been done from Copenhagen.

Did 4 of them and enjoyed them all. Glad we did this itinerary. When Royal replaced the Brilliance class with the Vision class, the balcony cabins pricing went thru the roof due to the lack of them.
I done it on Serenade in 2013. Sailed in at 2pm and out at 8.30pm just as it was getting dark.

Venice is doing fine without cruise ships. In fact, they are still so overrun with tourists that they will be adding a fee for people visiting just for the day.
Glad I done the 12 night cruise from Barcelona a few years ago. Included overnight in Venice. Sailed in at 2.30pm and out as it was started to get dark at 8.30pm

There will be a ripple effect for sure. Less tourists = less money. No ships = no jobs related to the cruise ships such as tender operators. Add to all that the closures during the pandemic and the recession = businesses cutting back or going out of business. During the off season = less local money for discretionary spending = more cutbacks. Time will tell whether the vote for less tourists was worth it.
Waiting to see how Venice done this year. I bet a lot wouldn't travel from Ravenna. A train to Bolognia airport is a lot easier. Thats what I'll be doing next year.

I stayed on Voyager for 3 weeks after the Ta. First week we couldn't stop at BH due to the tail of the hurricane. 2nd week I had a walk round and found it busy and expensive. I had a walk round by the Bar Harbor Inn that was nice but around Cottage Street area it was busy. The 3rd week, I went on Olli's Tour bus to Cadilac Mountain. That was very good.
2 ships in both times and when we left the ship had to navigate the lobster pots and areas marked off.
I fear for the tourist companies who might struggle.

We did the 7-night itinerary out of Malaga in 2011. Great for us because we can drive there, so I wish they still did them.
7 night out of Malaga on Adventure was my first cruise. Perfect weather in October. My second cruise was the Transatlantic in 2012 from Malaga to San Juan on Adventure.
That was Royals last cruise from Malaga. Still remember the send off we got.
Prefer Malaga to Barcelona any day

We're onboard with you. Sail away was smooth. Before sailaway as D+, along with D and Pinnacles, we were invited to a low key sailaway party in the Solarium. Lots of nibbles and drinks and officers to talk to. Dinner 2nd seating. We are in Chic at a table for 6. 1 couple from Brisbane and 1 from NJ. I'll try to add my insights. This will be our 4th Anthem, 5th TA.
Also the covid cancelled Ta. Roll call was good though

That doesn't leave much, if any, time for a sailing in Europe after delivery.
Could be a transatlantic stop

I got off Voyager last week (9th) after 5 weeks. Compass every night. In a suite for the crossing from Copenhagen and balcony for other 3. Cabin status doesn't matter.
Deployment 2024-25 booking season begins
in Royal Caribbean International

Cool. I'll wave as you sail past into Edinburgh
