  1. Thanks for all the answer does any have a picture of the current sticker that they are using.

Send from device_name using Cruise Critic your_app_name App

I am sure it is different from ship to ship to keep just what you have in mind from happening.

also if they swipe your card and discover you don't have it and have a fake sticker, its probably grounds to be booted at the next port

  2. forgot to say what exercise I am doing.

I live in the boonies. I am not gonna drive 25 miles for a gym. so I make do. I walk as often as I can.

I use WII Fit (mostly advanced step and Island Run)

I do the 10 minute videos on Sparkpeople for strength

  3. I don't get on here every day and then had trouble finding it :)

Anyhow I am going for more of a lifestyle change then a "diet" trying to learn habits I can live long term with. Like not skipping meals which I am very very guilty of. Eating more fresh fruits and vegetables, lowering my sodium (for high blood pressure), eating more whole grain and less processed, and cutting out almost all red meat cept the occasional splurge (like prime rib night on the cruise lol)

    Meals today

    Breakfast

1 cup special K with Milk

    and Orange

Chai tea with artificial sweetener and 35 calories of cream

    Snack:

my one allowed (per week) coffee stand chai using skim milk. I have cut way back on these and am saving the money for the cruise

    Lunch

    Mixed Green Salad (no iceburg)

    Onions

hard boiled egg (or chicken breast I vary today was egg)

this thai dressing I buy from the lady who makes it, if I could just figure out whats in it lol but its my salad plurge

    Dinner:

Pork Loin (4 oz) trimmed of fat

    1 Yukon Potato sliced

1 table spoon olive oil to lightly fry potatoes (good oil at least)

    salad

We have chicken or ground turkey most nights throw in some tuna. Any bread or pasta we have is usually whole grain, same with rice, and I have recently started mixing Quinoa with the rice,

  4. I had a B2B AK cruise booked on the Spirit a few years ago. I researched this cruise more than I have ever researched anything in my life! Since we live 20 minutes from the Manhattan cruise terminal, we always cruise whatever CCL ship is here at the time and go wherever she is going! :p So this was a BIG DEAL for me/us. I lived and breathed this Alaska cruise. Then we had a severe financial setback and had to cancel it. We are very very lucky that everything is okay and that we have still been able to cruise from Manhattan to the Caribbean, but I know I will probably never get to Alaska. So I truly drink up anyone's reviews and pictures and am an EXPERT on them if I do say so! ;) Your pictures are probably the BEST pictures I have ever seen. You captured everything so brilliantly that I **almost** feel like I was there. Lucky you had such amazing weather. Thank you for sharing these outstanding pictures with us. You could almost publish a book and/or make up postcards!!! Happy cruising to you!

Our thanks for all the positive comments. A special thanks to the one above as it made my day :-) we shoot photos for the love of it, always have, we started shooting my daughter's cross country team, which lead to track, then basketball, then two of the cross country runner's weddings, to friend's senior photos,, etc. We have never made money off it and I don't care, I just love taking beautiful photos, and it is very kind of you to tell me how much you like them, and it warms my heart :)

    thanks to all!

I thought I should add some general observations about the cruise:

Our first cruise was on the Splendor last October so I only have that ship to compare to. In general I had the following impressions:

The beds on the Spirit are not as comfortable as the Splendor

I liked the size of the Spirit more my husband less he likes "bigger" I guess

I was disappointed in the casino, so many fewer slots and most were not the kind I like (penny with bonus stuff, not the 7s etc) most of the casino was card tables etc. However upside for the Casino is it smelt soooo much better than the Splendors did.

Food was pretty much the same and I was pretty much happy with it :) Only disappointment if you want to call it that is our Head Waiter, was The Head waiter, I mean head over all other Head Waiters and half way through the week his assistant's changed. Apparently new ones to the ship go through him to make sure they "pass his muster" and then they are moved out to another area. I was just getting attached to ours when they were moved, so the dinning felt a little less personal than our last cruise, other than this all was good.

I learned not to plan the whole day in a port away to excursions not only was it exhausting I felt I didn't get any time to "check out" the port, this was especially true in Skagway, even though we had lots of time to spare (we got back at 4:30 left port at 9, I was too tired to do anything except go to dinner and go die.

I thought the second show "Jazz Heart" was much better than first one which was New Oreleans geared. (cant remember name) both were good, just really enjoyed the second one. On the Spirit there are two male and two female lead singers which was nice as on the Spirit there was just two.

I found I used my balcony on this one all the time. We either had the window drapes full open looking out or were on it all the time. It was easy to bundle up if we got cold where in Mexico it was so blasted humid we didn't use it much. As you can tell from our photos we love scenery so it worked for us wonderfully!

    Thanks all!
