Hello,
I tried to find the answer to this question before posting but couldn't find it. The Carnival excursion to Universal is for one park or the other. Is it possible to upgrade the ticket when you get there? We were able to do both parks in one day before, and now are just planning on refreshing the things that are new or are our favorites. I read somewhere that this could be done, but I can't find it now and am worried I imagined it. Help! And thank you!

is there a list somewhere of what apps are on the lower end package? I saw WhatsApp, but would be interested what else - Kik, Wickr, Yahoo Messenger?

hi, Bill!!!!

it depends on what port and what plan you have. If you are docked in Baltimore, have a US plan and the phone says ATT on the upper left, it should be your regular plan. If it changed to Cellular at Sea it is a small fortune, turn it off!!!

we have had no problem bring two 12-packs on board when we check in. We use a recyclable grocery bag which folds flat to pack into our luggage.

we are sailing on the Pride for the 4th time in a few weeks, 3rd time out of Baltimore. Agree with others that it has been the easiest experience for us, and a short drive to boot. Looking forward to seeing her with 2.0, but not happy about the fig leaf :(

i know I am bumping an old post, but I have this same question for this year. Years ago we were on the Grand Princess for the Oscars, and they played them in the big theater and had a party with a red carpet. Haven't seen anything similar, but a few years ago they did have a similar type party for the Super Bowl. Anyone else have any Oscar experience on Carnival?

perfect, that's what I needed to know :) Thanks!

Yes - Costa Maya was a tender port. Apparently this is a port that can be a hit or miss depending on the waves, as the week before I was there, they had to stop the tendering for a few hours b/c the waves were too big, and a few weeks before that, they skipped the port all together. So if you're booking a private excursion, make sure you check for a refund policy if the ship can't stop there.
Grand Cayman is a tender port. I have been to Costa Maya several times and always docked. I guess if they have too many ships in, they could tender, but I have never seen it.

is the same true if we order the Large Cabana on GSC and get the $50 credit?

If I buy the hippo slide pass online, does it come with a priority tender ticket? If I buy 1, can we both priority debark together(assuming it has the tender ticket)?

I looked at the price of each, and the UBP was the most cost saving. We would never have paid for it, and to be honest, it is the only reason we booked an NCL cruise. Since we will have virtually no bar bill, we paid for the UDP and I made reservations already for every night on the Breakaway. Two adults sailing.

The tastings are on sea days so there will be at least three. The latest Dailies I saw posted showed beer, martini, and margarita. The bad thing is they are often offered on the same day but no way could the average person do a margarita tasting at 2 and then a martini tasting at 3:30 without just passing out the rest of the night, lol..... We did the Wine Lover's musical at 12:30 and then did a martini tasting at 3:30 and then had to take a nap til about 8, lol. I'm surprised we found our way back to our cabin!
I did the martini tasting and then ran to the margarita tasting on the Jewel - I had no problems functioning afterward :)

I booked breakaway on 11/15/15 over the pride even tho its 200 more for these reasons:
1 better itin GSC over freeport
2 sabrett hot dogs much better than guys burger
3 free UBP
4 live music in showroom vs canned music & hasbro
Technically you are saving about $500 with the UBP so you are ahead :) I agree with everything except Guy's - those burgers are amazing. I will be posting a Breakaway review towards the end of March - so you can compare :)

earplugs are cheap - just buy some for your crowd and now you have no worries :)
In all seriousness, noise is a matter of opinion. We have been in some cabins that we were worried about and had no issues. Worst was the one I never saw a complaint about. Now we have earplugs as a permanent part of our carryon bag.

The Carnival Pride is my favorite ship of any I have been on and the list is not short. We are booked on the Breakaway next month only because of the UBP offer and the fact that the Pride is not available for a 7 day the week we can go. If the Pride was available, we would have priced it out to see if the UBP would have still been worth it.

I can't find anywhere to book the clamshell online, is it possible to book it in advance? I would totally do that to get the priority tender tickets.
-
thanks. I was hoping someone could tell me if it was accessible or if I should start stalking for a cabana cancellation...

we have decided to skip the Cirque show, but are hoping there are some other comedians. I guess we will find out eventually! I made all of our dinner reservations already, hopefully, the shows are late.

Nachi Cocom. Just do it.

I was reading online that the island was used during both the Civil War and WWII - is there anything we can see? History buffs here wouldn't mind going for a walk if there are any ruins or markings, etc, but don't want to waste the time if it has all been cleaned up/removed.

you can always google the ship name plus cabin and get lots of stuff. I believe there are some youtube vids of that cabin as well, we were looking at it but went with one on 9
