  1. Hi,

Some of the tour companies will come pick you up and bring you back, for a little more money. I'm sorry, but I can't remember who does what, as I have read so much it is a whirled up mess in my head lol.

Thanks. I'll have to contact some places. Any recommendations for ones that offer that service?

  2. Wife and I will be in NOLA after the Carnival Dream repositioning. We would like to do a swamp tour, but not sure what type of transportation would be available. Other than renting a car, which creates other headaches such as parking, I'm not sure how to get to one of the tour facilities.

    Anyone with experience doing this?

    Lots of info...thanks!

  4. Sorry if this has been addressed before. Wife and I are going on our first cruise in April. We are pulling in to Aruba for the afternoon/evening (1pm-10pm) in April. Wife isn't a swimmer, and also not a huge fan of just sitting on a beach soaking up sunshine. So....what other things are there for us to go do in Aruba? Would love to souvenier shop, get some decent local food. Something somewhat low key and not terribly expensive. Any help/suggestion would be greatly appreciated!

  5. We are doing the Carnival Dream reposition cruise and pull into NO on 4/14/14. We booked a room at the Hyatt Place near the convention center. I understand it's within an easy walk from the pier, which is a plus! My question is, how do we get to the NO airport to fly home? Anyone know if the hotel provides a shuttle to the airport? If not, are there other inexpensive modes of transit (other than city bus)? I know a cab ride would almost always be available (anyone know what that costs roughly?), just trying to get the best price.

    Thanks in advance!

  6. I may look into this hotel too, however we don't sail for quite a while - November 2014. My husband would love to be within walking distance so we can just get up and go. Any idea if the hotel offered a shuttle to the cruise port? I notice they do for the Airport.

If walking - any idea of the total distance - would you say under a mile from the cruise port?

The Hyatt Place has an airport shuttle???

  7. We agree completely.

As one RCL multi-cruiser said while in the hot tub with a tub full of nak*d fellow cruisers: "Damn, I'm never going to be able to go on a 'regular' cruise again!"

(See our signature below for hints)

Wife and I spent a week at a resort in Jamaica that was mostly textile with a nude beach. We agreed to go try the nude beach our first day, and if we didn't feel comfortable, spend the rest of the vacation on the main property. We both loved it and spent the entire time (from right after breakfast until just before dinner/sunset) at the nude beach/pool.

So, we are comfortable enough to probably enjoy one of the cruises like is in your signature line. The question/dilema is this, from what I can see those cruises are usually 2-3 times the cost of a "vanilla" cruise. I can't justify to the wife paying that much more for a cruise so we can spend the at sea days nude. Why do they have to raise the cost so high? Makes no sense to me, especially if the ships are selling out. I could almost see it if they only sold 50% of the cabins, they'd have to make up the lost revenue. But for a sold out cruise, it just seems like highway robbery. Am I missing something?
