  1. We are sailing on the Epic, sailing from Port Canaveral 03 Dec, calling on GSP as our first port. I am wondering if improvements are being made, have been made, other than weather related, will the port be open? What is new there? What may be changed/eliminated for our day there. Thanks so much. We want to plan accordingly. fflashh

  2. I saw a link some time ago listing about 16 MCO hotels with round trip transportation to Port Canaveral included in the price for a nights stay. I think that the majority of them also provided a breakfast prior to the bus/shuttle to the ship. And pickup back to MCO after the cruise is included with prices starting at $130.00. We think this would be the most relaxing, seamless and cost efficient solution. We would have a day pre-cruise to enjoy the sun and pool and also gives us a day cushion in case of airline delays. Can anyone find the link for us or comment on this desired senerio? Otherwise probably consider two rental cars and a hotel in the PC area, which I think would cost more and not be as "seamless ". Your comments and suggestions, Please. Thanks, fflashh.

  3. I'm confused. We're calling at GSC while on the Epic sailing 03 Dec, 2016. While the 2 of us have the UBP, does this apply to GSC drinks???? Also, I can't seem to justify $299 - $399 for a cabana! I can see paying $15-$20 for a clamshell and hopefully using the waiters (if there are any) for beer and drinks. Can anyone explain to me? Never been to GSC, (Disney castaway cay once) & want to do the full day at the beach. Please advise with ANY tips, rules, or suggestions. Thanks so much, fflashh

  4. We are booked on the Epic 12/03/2016 for a western caribbean 7 nighter. Hoping to hear from others that are or have sailed her. we have a deck 14 M3 mini-suite. we appreciate ANY opinions. Things you loved, things you didn't. Helpful hints, etc. Did we even make a good choice? This is our 12th cruise, 2nd on NCL. Thanks SO much for any input, fflashh:cool:

  5. Thanks for your help with my inquiry on the 9075 balcony cabin on the Sun. It was quite helpful. I did have trouble / confusion getting cabin 9075 particulars (layout, balcony size, amenities and photos) from BOTH a cruise travel agent AND NCL! http://www.cruisedeckplans.com was of some help, but wanted me to pay and enroll in their subscription plan to gain access to specific cabin photos! Alas, by the time i got my answers straight, the cabin price went up from $1199/PPDO to $2974/PPDO! WOW, this hurt and angered me. I still put a deposit on the cabin, because I think the double size balcony would be nice, BUT I will cancel if the price doesn't go down significantly BEFORE the no penalty date to cancel. We'll see. Keeping fingers crossed. Still confused why the three 11 night Mex cruises have "disappeared" from the sale inventory.:mad::rolleyes:

  6. :eek:It does kind of make sense that the last Sun 11 night cruise could be sold out (Oct 22, 2016) due to coupling it with another cruise to extend ones time at sea. BUT, I don't buy why ALL 3 of the 11 night Mex Riviera cruises (9/30; 10/11; & 10/22) would be de-listed as Sold-out. Yes, they could be sold-out, but Why not JUST say so?? I have an interest on the 10/11 sailing, but truly don't understand the goings on with NCL. Why the secrecy at all??:confused::confused:

  7. can anyone help me with a question I have about a balcony cabin on the Sun? I want to book either 9075 or 9275 on the fjord deck (#10, I think). They are the last cabin before the aft-facing ones. Pictures I've seen on here seem to show that they have a shallower, double-wide balcony. Is this true? I appreciate any help! Also, is the bed by the bath or by the balcony? Thanks so much, flash:confused:

  8. We get off the Celebrity Reflection on Saturday 05 Dec, 2015. We are staying in a day room at the Rodeway inn & suites near FLL, but listed as Dania, Fl. Free shuttle to airport at a rate of $59.99 plus tax. We will have fun at their pool, restaurant and bar along with the convenience of having a place to freshen up before flying home. Hope this helps. Fflashh:):

  9. Thanks all for your help and info. It doesn't look like I'll be able to get a deal on a full size desktop Apple computer onboard the Reflection. We understand that shipping would be involved but it doesn't look like an IMac desktop is sold onboard. If anyone knows different, please let us know. Thanks so much, fflashh

  10. First timers on the Reflection November 28, 2015, and are wondering if it's true that Celebrity sells Apple products in their on board shops. We want to know if this is true, if the prices are good, comes with U.S. warranties, etc. I am looking to buy my first Mac computer. Is this an item we could purchase? Possibly with left over OBC? Thanks so much, fflashh:)

  11. We are doing a 7 night cruise out of Miami on the Celebrity Reflection on Saturday, 28 Nov. 2015. We are flying in early (Friday the 27th) to FLL on Southwest, to enjoy the day before in Florida. We booked the Riptide Hotel in Hollywood, Fl. on the broadwalk for that night. Transportation to the Riptide from FLL is on us. Possibly a taxi, maybe a bus, if convenient. Riptide looks like fun with a tiki bar and entertainment right on the beach. We are using MJS Transportation for our round trip to the POM. ($15 pp each way.) Same as the return from the ship with MJS. They will pick us up at the port and take us to the FLL airport. From there, we will use the free airport transportation services of Rodeway Inn & Suites near the airport, but listed as Dania, FL. We have a day room there ($59.99 from 9 or 10AM - 6PM.) This fits our desire to stay in the sun a bit longer after out Reflection cruise, and the free shuttle gets us back to the airport for our 7pm flight home. We have not used these two hotels before, but I have done my homework with Tripadvisor and cruise critic and feel pretty confident this will pull together and allow us, 1) to save money flying into FLL instead of MIA, 2) give us a cost effective shuttle from our hotel to the POM and back to the airport, and 3) enjoy both a pre-cruise day at the beach and have a dayroom post-cruise to enjoy before our 7pm flight home. Hope this works well for us, AND gives some readers ideas for extending their cruises and satisfying their transportation difficulties. :) fflashh
