Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. We were on the freedom last month. We made reservations for 7/7:15 and got seated right away each night. Long line if you didn't have one.
  2. I don't get the complaints about not having real plates/cups. When I'm sick, I don't care what I have. They do the same thing if they isolate someone to the cabin for stomach concerns. A few weeks ago my sister went to medical with sun poisoning or a stomach bug, and they isolated her. Everything from room service was in disposal fashion. They also delivered room service on disembarkation day. I had no idea she had ordered anything and was the only one who heard the knocks so I was confused when I answered.
  3. We were on Freedom. Food in the MDR was good but not great. The buffet was disappointing.
  4. Yeah, I told my mom and sister is was cheaper to book a balcony and then an inside. Honestly the inside would just be used for sleeping and then no complaints over the couch bed or snoring. We probably won’t book for awhile but we will keep it in mind.
  5. So because it’s a third adult we are paying a lot more? I’ll check once the kids sail free is over. It seems like it’s almost every cruise I’ve looked at.
  6. I’ve been looking to book another cruise. On a few different test bookings, it’s always cheaper to have just 2 people in a room and not add a third. Example when booking the room for 2, the cost is $600 each. When you add a third person it jumps to $900 a person! Same category room and all. Is this common? Shouldn’t it be cheaper to add a third person?
  7. They test you even if you show up to medical with sicknesses besides Covid. Possible food poisoning even gets a Covid test. Even if the person shows no signs of Covid. Then if someone tests positives all close contacts get tested. My friend was a close contact to a crew member and had to get tested.
  8. Hi all Looking at booking my first cruise. My mom and sister have taken a cruise before but I have not. Right now we are looking at a short 3 day on RCCL in case I can't tolerate being on a ship. (Sea sickness). We are looking at sailing from Miami. Are there any good hotels in the area that offer a free shuttle to the cruise port? Also is booking thru Costco a good idea, and if the rate drops, what is the policy? Thank you for any help!
