Can anyone tell me how I go about reserving a clam shell or a cabana on GSC? i am traveling with parents that dont want all that sun. Does anyone know the prices of these?

I have done both, The Jewels haven is much smaller, no restaurant or private bar like on the away ships,no huge sundeck. We usually book the forward facing penthouse on the jewel class ships because of the size of the balcony its HUGE. We are leaving this Saturday on the Jewel and booked 9502.

Im sure you will enjoy it just dont expect a haven like on the Breakaway

Does anyone who sailed to Alaska know when the casino is open.... Someone told me they are closed alot because you are sailing close to shore, is that true? just thought maybe someone who sailed this itinerary would know.

We've been on the Jewel to Alaska for the past 2 years. We had a forward facing suite and an aft. We prefer the forward facing suite for this itinerary. We spent hours each day/evening watching the whales, dolphins, and other sea life from our balcony. Magical!

Looking so forward to my upcoming cruise !!! The roll call on this cruise is pretty quite just wondering if this cruise is hardly booked? This is my first cruise to Alaska, I usually do the warm weather cruises. I received my email to bid on upgrades two weeks ago and I am eagerly awaiting the response......

I know there are many Alaska cruises after mine this season so if anyone has anything they want me to find out for them just let me know and I will do my to answer them when I get back.

Looking forward to my cruise this June on the jewel, for those of you who have done this I was just wondering if you had any days nice enough for the pool? We leave June 10th to Alaska, this will be my first time going to Alaska I hear its beautiful. Does anyone know if the Jewel is one of those ships that does the bidding for the upgrades? I have not seen an email from them nor has it been on my ncl log in page just wondering if anyone on that cruise received one yet? Any help will be great thanks

I am going on the same cruise on Sept 3rd, when I get back i will report on weather and the pools. I am usually a beach girl also just wanted to try north for a change..

My heart breaks and the tears flow as I am reading this !!! Please contact someone at NCL and tell them of your situation, maybe there is something they have done before in this situation before or will be willing to do in his case. I cant help but think of his wife.......as we all look forward to our cruise coming up wishing the time would go faster she is probably trying to slow time to her cruise as to cherish everyday with her husband. I commend all of you I dont know what I would do if I were in that situation.....

I really hope NCL can do something special for him and his family!!!!
