It has been hit or miss for us. Seems like during prime time spring break and holidays we have seen it enforced more but not consistently, also in San Juan last time they were checking and staging based on time. I'm not sure there is a rhyme or reason, seems variable and without discernable pattern for us. We always try to get there as early as we can and roll the dice.

We have done both. I used to prefer booking direct, but now it is not as easy to get a dedicated agent to handle everything. I think TA's are valuable in their experiences and tips as they have a wide resource network and if they know you well enough may provide more information that is personally applicable to you and your cruising style. Either way your going on vacation so it's a win-win in my eyes.

We have done the Boardwalk's on a couple of occasions. Further back will get you better views of the aqua theater and ocean. Farther forward will will be harder to see other than the boardwalk itself. We had no issue with noise. You have to go with what you are comfortable with, financially. If you are like us, you will enjoy regardless.

Just off the ship on Sunday. When we boarded they were checking times and staging people accordingly in roped sections by check in time.. Boarding started about 11:30. We had The Key and we’re on very quickly.

Just off Voyager. Lots of people we dressed up for the formal nights. I was surprised as I felt it was a higher level of participation than other cruises in the past few years. Overall there are always some dressed to the 9's and others not. Last week was no different.

I have sailed in the ATS 1 BR several times (but never on Oasis). I do not believe there are any walk-in showers in any of them. I recall the bathrooms being very small with standard (low ceilings) bathtubs.
My experience as well in 11330.

We stayed on deck 10 for a 9 night and never had sound issues.

Fall through early spring is the typical time frame

For me, I love the sea. I also like the option of visiting new place for a day before I commit to a longer stay. Please keep in mind that opinions are subjective. Some people will never be happy, some people are upset that companies have to change to remain competitive in business, some people have unrealistic expectations. Don't let someone else determine if you enjoyed your vacation or not. Enjoy.

Our kids are now 17 and 12 but we have cruise for many years. We let our kids go on their own following our rules. Our rules are the same as home. Tell us where you are going. Tell us if plans change. No going into other peoples cabins. Be respectful of others. Our curfew is curfew, not the ships curfew. No purchases on your seapass without our approval. Stay out of adults only areas. Walk. We have never had an issue.

Don't bring a drink to muster drill. I got scolded my first cruise.

Wear what you want, especially if there is a medical condition involved. It is up to the ship to enforce their rules, not the patrons. I personally dress up, but that is for me, not others. I think the guy in the suit with tennis shoes or a tie that is about 8" too short looks just as tacky as the they guy in cutoff shorts and a Budweiser t-shirt. Either way my food will likely be overcooked and lacking flavor.

Sabor, Jamies on Harmony, Giovanni's on Oasis and Allure and Chops should all be open for lunch.

Carnival, NCL and Royal Caribbean are more similar than different. Any line will be fine for your kids. If you choose Royal pick a larger ship as the new larger ships have more activities that will interest your kids.

We always bring our own, just in case. We have never been to a resort that didn't allow us to use our own gear.

Boca Catalina or Malmok are easy shore dive sites. Most of the regular tours stop there. If you have a swim vest you could try to swim to the Antilla wreck. It is a jaunt but we saw some people do it. You can take the Arubus to either beach.

You can always look. I've never hear of not being allowed to upgrade on the same sailing. Usually they will happily take more of your money. It seems lately for me that prices have only risen, but you never know.

By rule only two bottles of wine per cabin per sailing. Others have brought soda and water with no issues. May face greater scrutiny depending on port and time of year.

Just checking back to see if anyone has experience with this. Thanks in advance for any input!
We have had it work both ways. Once they allowed us to just show up. Another time it was full and we were not allowed. I think it all depends on number of reservations they have. If you want to guarantee a spot then you need to reserve. If you can roll with no being allowed in then wait and play it by ear.

We bring ours. Most will not fill it for sanitary reasons, but you can take the glass they use and dump it in. We tip well and have had bartenders take our tumblers and wash them and then fill them.

I have done several cruises on Indy. I have enjoyed everyone of them. However, we all cruise for different reasons and have different needs and wants. Indy meets my needs and desires. Hopefully, the ship will do that for you too. I am not all that high maintenance and I am not a foody. Take care of the cabin, provide decent food, make me a drink when I want one, and keep the ship clean with the various venues in working order. As for the crew, it has been my experience that if I am friendly to them I get that friendliness returned in spades.
I would happily cruise on Indy again.
Winner, winner, chicken dinner. Everyone should read the last two lines over and over.

I just want to make sure that we are at the same table. We have to split the family into 1 balcony and 1 promenade because we are a party of 5. So this is what we have listed on the 2 reservations. The room with the 10 year old has family time listed as dining.
Call either Royal or your TA. Link the reservations and have both of them select My Family Time. The only way to guarantee the same table is to have the reservation linked or ask the maitre d one the ship. Only issue with the latter is once you board there is not guarantee that they can accommodate your request. It will be based on availability. I would call now.

This would only interest me if it was a last minute kind of thing. I am usually a planner and like to know what I am getting.
Connecting To Work On Laptop
in Royal Caribbean International

I work remotely from the ship without too much issue, besides the obvious purchase of the internet package, connect with your tech team to find out any security changes they may need to make, specifically related to authentication while signing in. Other than that you will need to figure out where you have best connectivity. Sometimes the room is fine and other times it is better in a public space. I always give my contacts a heads up that I am remote from a ship and may have issues typically not experienced shoreside. Finally watch the time variations so you connect at the right time. Hope that helps.
