  1. As we just got back from a cruise, I just ordered our medallions and it didn’t give me a shipping option. We leave January 2nd to fly to Sydney for our land / cruise trip. Have others encountered this?
  2. I’m in process of bidding, trying to get a balcony cabin on a Drop & Go deal. Any advice about where on the “poor to excellent” scale is appreciated!
  3. I’ve seen a small selection of food snacks on a cart by the windows in Good Spirits bar off the piazza, too.
  4. Thank you so much🙏!!! I think you’ll be doing many of us a great service! Already looking forward to your blog 😁
  5. Thank you 😄 for all your info!!! We’ll just be flying between Sydney, Cairns, Uluru / Ayer’s Rock, and back to Sydney. I’m not sure if that will make a difference about which airline and baggage restrictions, but I’m sure we’ll have a great time!!! Thank you all for this help 🙏🥰
  6. Wow — what a great question, that led me into a rabbit hole for Quantas dash 8 😳 Now I’m just hoping and expecting that Princess uses regular domestic airlines, and that I’ll be just fine 😏!
  7. Thank you, thank you all for replying!🙏🏼! great information, and much appreciated!!! My wanted carry on total measurement is 42.5”. That’s fine for regular domestic Quantas flights (again, I’m not sure which airline the Bob Woods vendor uses), but the Quantas Dash domestic flights state total carry on measurement of 41”. Do you think I can likely chance it and be okay? (😉no legal liabilities 😆)
  8. Hi, all! I’m hoping someone of you all out there can help! We have a Princess cruise tour booked in January, and the carry on weight restrictions are quite specific and small. 15 pounds total weight! Wow! I’ve searched Cruise Critic and haven’t found information on which airlines is used for the Australia plane rides. Princess has Bob Wood Cruise Group listed as vendor, and nothing is noted on their site either. Any information is much appreciated! I would hate to get there and have to pay many additional baggage fees if the size of my luggage doesn’t fit the parameters, which I truly can’t find anywhere! I can stick to the 15#, if I can carry a personal item that would also fit whatever size or weight requirements that surely must list — somewhere!!! Thank you, in advance, for any replies 🙏
  9. Any recommendations? Are there deck differences?
  10. Thank you for the feedback and info! I’m sure we will enjoy it 😀
  11. Can the Balcony Breakfast be ordered once onboard? We’re looking at doing so on Panama Canal transit day. We’re also in a suite, so maybe we could order room service off the main menu — but the tablecloth and iced split of champagne sure looks good!
  12. Thank you so much for all the sharing of advice / suggestions, and pictures. The view from the aft looks great, as does the balcony breakfast! We were fortunate enough to nab an aft balcony when booking, and then when this suite with the larger wraparound balcony became open, it was even better! We’re happily in the last planning and packing days, and do so appreciate the Cruise Critic family recommendations and information!
  13. Thank you 🙏! I was hoping the narration would be on the tv; thank you for confirming this, and also that the aft would be good viewing. and we’re Traveling Sisters, too!!!
  14. Thank you for the great hints and suggestions! We’re getting even more excited as it gets closer!
  15. Thank you so much for responding and providing your perspective and information. It was just what I was seeking!
  16. We’ll be in the Island Princess for full transit in the historic locks next month. We’re in an aft cabin (A726 with wrap around balcony). Should we just hang in our cabin and balcony, and splurge with ordering the Balcony Breakfast, or reserve the Sanctuary couple decks above us, or head to the forward decks and wander (and perspire!) there? Any advice / recommendations welcome! 🙏
  17. I’m afraid that I don’t recall the specific reason Princess gave us. Sorry! I think it was something about the port itself, rather than a timing reason, but I’m not sure…
  18. I would take any balcony room over one without a balcony, in a heartbeat. Also, our last cruise that was supposed to stop in Astoria ended up having that port cancelled!
  19. We three sisters will be in aft suite cabins on two upcoming cruises, and weren’t aware that some aft suites didn’t have shelves in the bathroom, which would make a difference in our need of packing an over-door hanging organizer. Does anyone know about presence or absence of the bathroom shelves in Island Princess Vista cabin L723, and Royal Princess corner Penthouse cabin R730??? Any information is greatly appreciated!
  20. Thank you for all your research and advice — it’s much appreciated! I’m sharing your information with my sisters as we review the options. We’ll have a fabulous cruise wherever we are, I’m sure!!!
  21. Thank you! Yes, that is helpful. D726 is on the Discovery, so I don't know that the cabin is as comparable to the Royal. I'm still thinking that the Concierge and laundry closer proximity on Riviera may be nice, and a draw for us... Thank you again for responding and sharing!!!
  22. Are there any special features in these corner aft suites that make one deck preferable over another? Deck 14 Riviera is closer to the concierge lounge, which may be handy. I’m not sure which decks have overhangs for shade options? Are there any other details that are helpful in deciding which deck? We’ve never sailed in a corner aft suite, so any advice is much appreciated!!! 🙏
  23. We started with the Elimis, but have switched and now prefer the Fire and Ice. It’s only $10 more, as I recall, but it feels worth it to us, especially with tired feet. The thought of my scheduled pedicure the next day kept me going on our back-to-back walking tour excursions in Charleston. I also now have the Elimis Tea Tree S.O.S. spray for a quick foot refresh immediately after our next walking tour! I’m even considering buying the CND shellac and nail system for my local nail technician to use for my mani / pedi between cruises, as it’s more gentle on my nails, but still long-lasting. Enjoy whatever pedicure you choose! It’s a delightful treat, and is now a must on our cruise experience lists😊
  24. Hi, PixiTrix! Here’s a little more info, in case you’re still interested. We traveling sisters have been to the spa for mani/pedi services during each of our four cruises this year, on four different Princess ships. All use CND shellac, which is a mix of gel and polish. It cures under the light box as Torfamm stated. The pedicure polish lasts many weeks. We’ve been very, very happy with it. The Fire and Ice uses hot stone massage and finishes with a cooling gel. The Elemis uses massage with your choice of two scents, either a frangipani mix or other lighter scent, as I recall. Both are very nice, and not overpowering at all. Both massages involve foot up to knee. Enjoy!
  25. We’re trying to choose between these options on a short Mediterranean cruise. Any feedback or recommendations much appreciated!
