  1. Alamo & National has free port pick up. You will need to show your reservation. The other possibility is Tri Rail. It will get you to PBI (West Palm Beach Airport) station. It runs like every hour. Will cost you like $10 rt. Free transportation from the train station to the airport and vv.

  2. I have been told and read that the Splendor was originally built for the Costa Line but changed and Carnival took it over. That is why the ship is somewhat different than most of the other ships.

it's true. Splendor was originally built for Costa. There were even rumors that they would transfer her back after the Concordia incident.

  3. It depends what you are looking for. Haven't been on those 2 ships, but on their sister ships. Have been on N.Pearl & N.Dawn and Caribbean & Ruby Princess. I think if your friends are very laid back, I will give Princess a shot. In the end it's always good to try something different before you stuck to 1 particular cruise line. Variety is the spice of life.

  4. If there is no delay you will be fine. But you never know beforehand. I would say fly in the day before, because even if it's winter and you are flying in from a hot place, the plane can still have a delay.

Most of the time the plane is originating from another place and if it's snowing there (assuming it's winter) she most probably will leave late. Miami is a great place to spend a couple of days.

  5. Correct Breeze was built with them. But if they can make them fit on Breeze why wouldn't they fit on Magic which has the same deck space.

Or the Conquest Class? I don't buy it. There must be something cooking between Carnival & Guy's because they haven't put 1 single one on any of their ships in a long time. When they announced it, it was for all ships, so they already knew if there was enough space yes or no. There is no space? ya' u r right!

  6. I read an article several weeks ago that someone had posted on here about the Carnival dry dock schedule. I don't remember who posted it. But it said the Magic would receive all 2.0 upgrades except for Guys and Blue Iguana. It said they didn't have the deck space for it.

How come Breeze has the deck space for them?

  7. It's a good deal, but honestly I think it's one of the cheapest week of the year, so you might get a better deal on the other cruise lines as well. I went on the Regal Princess last year after Thanks Giving, and I ended up paying $376 p/p for an inside. Even Thanks G. week on the Eurodam I paid something like $317 for an obstructed OV.

  8. Just my 2 cents.....

Guys burgers is nice (have cruised on 2 ships with) but really I've had just as tasty burgers and dogs at the older style grills. I really don't think that Guys should be the primary decision maker for any cruise.

And to me the only CCL ship that I can call "beautiful" is Breeze! It's colorful but in a more earthy and tropical way. I really love that and wish that CCL would consider something like that as a future 3.0 or something.

Both Breeze & Sunshine are beautiful. The rest just meh.
