  1. Thank you for that. I'll definitley report back next July (i plan ahead - LOL)
  2. Going next summer on an 8 day cruise. Looking to go diving, and have days available in La Romana and AmberCove. Cruise does not offer diving excursion for either of those locations, but i'm willing to do a non-cruise excursion. Does anyone have any opinions about diving either of those? Very good or very bad? Thank you!
  3. Do you recall if magnets worked on the walls and/or door also? Thank you!
  4. Only the first page shows Kalik and Kalik light - do you recall which bar that was? Any chance you know if it was only at that one particular bar? Thank you!
  5. Can anyone tell me if the doors/walls are metal? meaning can I use magnets on them? Thank you!
  6. When you say "jitney", do you mean the tram that takes you right from the cruise ship? Was the golf cart stop the last stop on the tram? (we've been to bimini many times but not by cruise, and i'm finding that things are different a bit when a cruise ship is in, so I'm trying to get as much information as I can ) Thank you!
  7. Anyone know if we can use credit card for golf carts or is it strictly cash? we have used someone when staying in the island at an Airbnb and he was cash only. Just wondering if any of the rentals up where we get off th ship take credit cards. thanks!
  8. I'm sorry if it's been answered, but I've tried to search... Onboard, can you purchase a 24 hour wifi plan? I don't need it the whole cruise, just one day of the social package. Thank you!
  9. What is the $25 funplay you speak of??? Was on a cruise last month and since there was no slot tournament, I didn't give it any more thought. Is this free money to play with??
  10. I haven't done it, but one time that we stayed on Bimini, we saw 2 ladies who had gotten bikes up on the north end (we came over on the FastFerry from Fort Lauderdale), and I swear we saw them at least 3 times in one day, all over the island. I've only even driven a golf cart on the island, but if you're up to the ride, I think it would be pretty safe. The majority of vehicles on the roads are golf carts and and a some mopeds these days, so traffic can't go all that fast.
  11. You're probably still on a cruise, but wanted to see - how was the golf cart situation?
  12. @roadtripper I'm headed to Bimini in a couple of weeks by cruise. I've been there a few times, but staying there, not by cruise, and our place always came with a golf cart. It will be my first time "flagging one down" at the end of the pier. My big question to you is - when it was time to return the golf cart, had you and "Humpty" designated a time/place to return it? I'm guessing he was one of the many folks in that first parking lot coming off the pier... Was he waiting at a certain time, or did you call him to let him know you were all done? Does he just hang there all day? Did you need to leave him your license or anything? or was it a "cash to key" transaction? 🙂 Thank you for any info you can give on that!!!!
  13. Yeah, I could see them doing that... Thank you for the info, I'd be really confused otherwise 🙂
  14. Friends are headed out on Margaritaville this weekend - did you happen to hear anything about Taino Beach on your cruise?
  15. HI! I've been on the tram from taking the fastferry from Florida, but Fisherman's village is the first and last stop - did they not stop there first before heading into resort area? or did they skip it and you had to go through the tram route before getting off there? I'm not sure if it's different when it's a real cruise ship... (not a huge deal, just curious 🙂 I tried to find your review, but can't... I hope you enjoyed Radio Beach! Thank you!
  16. I'm not going until November, so I'd love to hear how easy it was to get the golfcart right at the first tram stop in fisherman's village, if you do that! I have to say, though, having been to Bimini on land vacations, if you're getting a lot of pool time and beach time on the rest of your cruise, get the golf cart and get out of the resort area, and explore the "local" end of the island, it's a great little island. But of course, if you are looking forward to just chilling, and getting some sun & drinks, the resort is really nice!
  17. Where did you rent your golf cart from? I've been to Bimini a few times, but a cart comes with the cottage. I Know there are always golfcarts waiting at the first tram stop from the ship (Fisherman's village), but I don't know if those are rentals that have already been reserved, or if you can just rent there?
