  1. I have to disagree with you. It may be what really counts for you. Others, like myself, want to know upfront if I purchase a certain category, what are my "Real" upgrade possibilities. I do not see written anywhere that suites are not available for the promotion. My thinking is this promotion covers categories G-A2, so if I book an A2 cabin, should I not move into at least a PH3? These Oceania smoke and mirror promotions is usually why I just outright purchase the cabin I want and allow the company to keep whatever gimmick they are working. What cabins I purchase? Next week in Vista Suite on Marina Oslo - Amsterdam and in April it was Riviera Oceania Suite Rome - Barcelona. So, it is not like I am attempting to go from an inside cabin to an Owner's Suite using the Oceania promotion. I just think everything should be out in the open. Not for a travel agent, but for me a consumer.
  2. Thanks for the replies. I think Oceania with all its marketing should perhaps be a little bit more forthcoming in what is hidden behind the curtain. Oh well, I guess you have swallowed the Oceania hook, you are captured no matter what they decide to be honest about or for the old guy like me without the time to read the finer fine print, you just swallow more and push forward.
  3. Looked at the Insignia cruise June 2 - June 20 (Hong Kong - Tokyo) which is listed in the 60 cruises Oceania has listed as part of the promotion. I asked about booking B1 and using the 4 cabin upgrade to get into a PH3. The travel agent told me this promotion does not allow you to get into a PH suite, even if booking a A2 cabin. If I book a C1 cabin, does this get me into a A3 cabin?
  4. Thank you for all the ideas and suggestions. I should have provided additional information: We arrive to Amsterdam on Marina September 27th. We selected to stay at the AMS Airport Sheraton as our flight on September 28th is an early morning flight. We want to do three things while in Amsterdam on September 27th: Vaandam Zaanse Schans Amsterdam dinner river cruise So, the need to get to the airport on September 27th as early as possible to check in and drop off luggage. Then, get on train from AMS Airport to Vaandam and catch the 10am tour to Zaanse Schans. Return to Vaandam at 1pm and spend 3-4 hours before taking train back to AMS Airport and then after changing clothes head to the Amsterdam River Cruise by Uber or Taxi which departs at 7:15pm After reading the suggestions, we will book a 2pm tour from Zaandam to Zaanse Schans. This way we will visit Zaandam before the tour and not have to rush from the airport. After the tour we need to get back to the AMS Airport by train and then quick change before heading to the Amsterdam river cruise. A full final day in Europe
  5. Hey, how have you been? We are taking a transfer to AMS Airport. We have booked a room for two nights beginning September 26th, even though we disembark September 27th. Doing this to make sure we can hurry and check in, then throw luggage into the room. After placing luggage in the room, we want to catch a train at 8:53am for a direct ride to Zaandam. There is also a 9:23am train departure getting to Zaandam at 9:41am Once in Zaandam, we want to book a tour to Zaanse Schans which departs at 10:00am. Even the 9:23am train that arrives at 9:41am would probably work as the tour departs from the hotel next to the train station. Hope this is easier to understand why I want to disembark earlier than 8am.
  6. Our itinerary indicates 8am disembarkation, but is disembarkation in Amsterdam ever started before 8am? I realize it is a broad question, but trying to coordinate transfer to the airport to check in and throw bags into the room, then catch a train to Zaandam to begin a tour. If we disembark at 8am, I don't think we can make it in time, so seeking any information Thanks
  7. Who is the current onboard chef running the Marina culinary classes? TIA
  8. ScubaCat we are on the celebrity millennium and today in Juneau the talk in the venues was that you guys were arriving late. Thanks for the information
  9. The ship was late in its arrival today. Anyone know the reason why?
  10. medjetassist might be something to look into before taking a trip away from home. I hope that we never have to use the service but we have purchased for three year increments.
  11. I read that the Vista Suites can range in size. Are the larger Vista Suites on deck 12 or on the decks below? Thanks
  12. Correct, we are on Alaskan cruise in ten days in a PH and have not received any request, so we will just handle it once we get onboard.
