I was wondering the same thing. Have had swollen ankles/feet the last couple cruises and couldn't wear most of my shoes. Felt terrible. Going to ask my doctor before I sail again about water pills. Fingers crossed.

I love the new Carnival gift. Can always use another bag. Much better than the journal, which I would not use any way.

Sounds like an awesome feature and hopefully will be fleet wide by next year.

I'm in the process of posting a Fascination review of our cruise last month. It will have the Fun Times and shots of the menus that I have. I just posted the elegant night pics with some food pics. Check it out!
Thanks. Will be watching for your review.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. Great information.
One question I have. Did you feel that the ship was too crowded? Friends of ours sailed her and hated it because they felt the ship was very overcrowded.
We are thinking of booking Sunshine for next year and need feedback on the subject. Thanks in advance.

Post-it notes worked best for us.
We have had bad experiences with magnets/signs on our cabin door. Most were taken or vandalized. Even saw some kids changing the door knob hanging sign from "do not disturb to out cruising" on some ones door. . We did call them down, but they just gave us the middle finger and walked away. Such disrespect now a days. :(

Too funny! Love your sense of humor. :)

Thank you for writing this review. It is very time consuming and I appreciate your hard work. Following along. We love the Fascination and make the easy 6 hour drive from home. My brother lives there so we stay with him the day before the cruise.

83 Days until Fantasy out of Charleston. Ready to RELAX!

They should be fine, but if asked, all they do is show their SS card.

Not a fan of the wristband idea. I also don't use a lanyard, just slip in a pocket or a purse.
-
I've been 4 times and missed it twice. Felt bad for passengers who had not experienced HMC. Beautiful beach.

Yes, they will board with you.
We have cruised with family members who were on a different booking number, but were let on with us in the VIP area since we are Platinum. We were very surprised with this, but very happy.
On another occasion, it didn't happen that way. So guess it depends on the dock employee you encounter.
I have ordered through Bon Voyage and then reordered from Room Service a few days later.... No problem at all. I called room service, told her what I wanted, she told me the price (which was the same as BV) and 20-30 minutes later they knocked on my door with a brand new bottle.
Good to know. I have ordered from BV and didn't realize I could also order liquor from room service. Thanks! -
I've been to Nassau many times and tour on my own. I have never felt afraid or in any danger, but I don't walk alone. I have walked to Junkanoo Beach and also to the Fish Fry and never had a problem. I would not walk at night though. We (two girls) did leave Senior Frogs one night to go back to the ship and it wasn't the best feeling. Won't do that again. Just be cautious and smart.

Tony Macaroni's in Freeport! Just take a cab. I absolutely loved the food, Tony is great and it is more than just a restaurant! http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g147420-d1081664-Reviews-Tony_Macaroni_s_Conch_Experience-Freeport_Grand_Bahama_Island_Bahamas.html
Thanks for the info. Have heard several people talk about this place and Tony. Will check him out in January on our cruise.

I agree with the others that the straw market isn't worth going. Years ago it was really nice to see the islanders making their goods and selling them at the market. Now it is a really crowded, hot place where the vendors hawk you as you walk through. You can make deals with them and get the price down, but the quality isn't very good. I do buy a few trinkets every time I go to Nassau because I am always traveling with people who have never been before.
There is a free beach within walking distance called Junkanoo Beach. Google it and see for yourself.

We have walked and it takes around 30 minutes or so. We did stop at Junkaroo beach for a few pictures first. The food was very good, but it took a long time to get it delivered to us. It seems that Nassau is known for it's, never in a hurry reputation, but we felt the food was worth the wait. There are several restaurants to choose from. We did take the #10 bus back to the port because it took so long to get our food and we wanted to walk through the straw market before we had to board the ship.

Wonderful review. Keep it coming! :)

Thank you for your very informative review. I know it was a lot of work and I really appreciate it. We are thinking of booking the Sunshine for next year, but our friends sailed on her this year and hated it. Nice to hear a different view. Very nice pictures also. Thanks!

Having lobster taken away isn't huge to me - although I do like lobster. But it is disconcerting to see so many cutbacks at a time when Carnival's prices are steadily going up. At the rate things are going, it won't be long until a Carnival cruise is no longer the most attractive vacation option for those in the middle class, with a limited vacation budget.
I agree Towel Critter. I also like the lobster and am disappointed that it has been taken away for the shorter cruises. Would it be a deal breaker for me, no, but disappointing. With all the cut backs and changes Carnival has made recently it isn't the low budget vacation of the past. We have a cruise booked for early next year, but also are looking at A.I. for the fall. Times they are a changing.

Just got off today 19 September and it is still Miroslav, Parviz and Maria. The place is like cheers, I swear. My absolute favorite bar.
Awesome! Sounds like a lot of fun and place I want to visit. :)

I love lobster, but I only order one and also order the prime rib to go with it. Too much to eat for me. :)
