Thank you. The pendant was a gift from my husband over 40 yrs. ago and that store no longer exist. I have been searching everywhere and not found this design or likeness. I know the CD works with the local jewelry stores in the island for some sort of financial compensation to the cruise line but we want to replace the heart so I am willing to ask the CD for an assist. They could reach out and see if anyone has a similar design instead of me visiting all the jewelry stores in all the islands. I'll try emailing the Mariners Dept. Good idea.

How do I find who the cruise director will be on the Rotterdam VII on 11/10? I am in search of a replaced pendant that was stolen from me and thought I'd reach out to the CD because I know they work with the jewelry stores. Thanks. Also need how to communicate via email with the cd.

Thank you for your prompt response. Can you use the OBC offered for the stock with other discounts/promotions? We have a 21 day cruise in November and a 45 day next October with Holland America.

New to the idea to purchase stock. How far in advance do you need to purchase the stock before your cruise to get the $/s credit?

Thank you crewsweeper.

How does one get a ship included. I figure because she's a new ship they have not been able to include her. I know people are booked for upcoming cruise as we are.

RosieRoo that's great to know! A great way to start the cruise!

Thank you ladies. I'll see what TA can book. We're driving so no worries about planes. How's the parking at the cruise site? Should we park their lot or do a hotel/cruise package?

What exactly do you want to know?
We like to be close to the elevator due to knee issues. I like the best bang for my buck. Love a good large balcony and have been drawn to bump outs. TA is looking at 4b's for me. Is that a good class? We want to avoid too loud music and noise. Having said all that nothing is a deal closer.

We are considering the Hawaiin/South Pacific cruise in Feb/2022. Looking for a nice balcony with less motion since we will be on the Atlantic quite abit. Is there significant differences between vc, vd, ve, vf? Any cabins to avoid? We are experienced cruisers but have only done Holland American once. I want a nice cabin. Unfortuatley, the suites are not in our budget. Your help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks Island Lady! I want to wave at my cousins as we sail out by the bridge. I will book starboard for the very reasons you pointed out.

Thank you torpeedo. Very computer challenge so I'll need a nephew or two to help. Is there any difference in the mid-ship cabins? Are there any to avoid?

Tried various searches to no avail. Need advise on midiship balcony cabin and not interested in a suite. Thanks for your time and help. We're looking at the 12/31 cruise out of Tampa. Port of starboard?

Good info. Scott, I'll have to come back to you when I have nailed down the cruise and islands as to what we must do. Appreciate your response.

Thanks CruiserBruce. That makes things easier to look at. Now let's get rid of the virus so we all can return to a cruising life!
Hey look at that my 1000 posts on cruise critic! A mere drop in the bucket for you but I am still impressed!

Thank you,Scottca. Since you've hit all the sailing months did you find one month less expensive than another? I looking at the costs of the cruise and the costs of excursions on the islands.
-
Yeah, some of those mini suites on Holland are smaller than some balcony cabins we've sailed in the past. Will check the SS category. Thanks.

Thank you again, cruise Bruce. I have been looking at the websites but they are not very far reaching. I'm looking at 2021 or 2022. So I am researching to figure out what to look for deal wise and yet not lacking in this special cruise. We have cruised over 20 times, mostly RC but have done Princess and Holland America. I'm leaning toward a suite or mini-suite since this cruise will be at least 20 some days. I want to do Hawaii and the south pacific isles. I am open to time of the year and not committed to any specific isle. Hubby doesn't fly more than 5 hrs. so the only way to get to Europe and the south pacific is by cruise and it must to rt from California or Vancouver We live on the Atlantic so we will have a nice plane ride to California.. What prices I could dig out it appears both cruise lines are in the same ball park. Your insight is so appreciative.

Thank you Bruise cruiser. So I assume October and April would be the shoulder and cost a little less, correct? I am thinking April would be the warmest but maybe more rainy. I did notice that they were only going out in that time frame and appreciate you confirming that. It looks like Princess and Holland America are the lines doing this cruises, correct? Do you have a preference?

We are considering a future cruise from California to Hawaii and the south Pacific, 20 plus days. When is the best time to take this type of cruise given sea conditions, weather and costs? I appreciate your input.

Hotel/Location for hotel in/near Ft. Lauderdale in 11/21
in Florida Departures

Hello all,
I'm looking for a place to stay w/i 30 minutes from the cruise port with free parking and cancellation (given covid regulations). We are driving. I'm turned off with service fee, resort fees and cleaning fees. It will be a Monday and Tuesday night. Close to the ocean or ocean front would be ideal but not required. Hubby likes to explore museums and the like and I'm into sunbathing. Is there a community close to the cruise port that isn't priced up for the location or are the rates all about the same? Open to any venue as long as it is clean and doesn't require stairs as the only access to our room. Thank you for your insight and experience.
