  1. I saw Jase on the TV a couple of times and heard him over the PA system… but I don't cruise for the CD, so that doesn't matter much.

The comedians were good, wished I could have gone to more shows. We also enjoyed the nightly shows in the main theater. I loved listening to Lexi, the Piano Mat, and the Blackjack Band each day. But I tell ya, I'll be happy if I never have to listen to the majority of the music DJ T-Willy played at Caliente nightclub ever again.

Our excursions were great, even if the weather wasn't so great in Cozumel. It held for us as long as it could.

We had great service everywhere. Everyone who served us was wonderful. I met some great people on this cruise and had a great time with my sisters.

I want to go again with the Hubs and adult kids. Now I just need to convince them.

  2. One thing that I forgot to mention was the kids. There were a lot more kids on this cruise than others I have taken around the same time. Some were acting good, but there were a lot that were wild and rude. There were a couple that were always running and pushing all the elevator buttons when the doors opened, some that would sit and block the stairs and get an attitude when you tried to get past them.

I don't mind kids being kids, but parents need to make sure they parent on vacation as well and not let the kids run wild.

The kids I noticed were mostly in the evening/night and by the elevators. Overall, they were respectful, but probably having more fun (noise-wise) than I would have preferred. Then again, I'm older now and want kids to act like sober adults and not kids. That's not very fair of me. I think once I may have had to tell a younger teen to back off or calm down or something, but he totally did. I guess I was luckier than you, but I also don't put up with it.

  3. It's always a tough call when you are trying to please multiple people. I loved the Dream and preferred its itinerary to the Pride's, I didn't find the weather as great when doing a Baltimore cruise as one out of NOLA, and lastly I could get from one end to the other on the Dream on any floor except 3 because the galley is in the middle of deck 3. BUT, the Pride has some great 2.0 upgrades. Who knows what the Dream is going to get? Carnival isn't even saying.

  4. We found a neat little trick 2 weeks ago. Used the 2nd floor laundry (they only have them on decks 2, 7 & 10) and we learned if we opened the dryer before it was done and then restarted, the time started all over again too. A lady took her stuff out with time left and let someone else dry her clothes with what she had left. When the second lady hit start, it didn't start at 10 minutes, it started at 65 all over again. That was good for me to know because my clothes took over a cycle to dry.

  5. On my last cruise I was told by my waiter that they are ramping up enforcement of the corkage fee. He stated that if the Matre D' sees a bottle of wine on the table he will check to make sure the corkage fee was charged. If you really want to avoid the fee, download the Carnival wine list and bring onboard one of the wines from their list. That way the waitstaff can claim you obtained the bottle on board. That was straight from the waiter's mouth.

Just had this conversation this week with the fun shop CSR on the phone, I had called regarding the "cruising the vineyards deal" to make sure we can get the bottles delivered to cabin or bring the issued voucher to get a bottle in the MDR. Yes, room service can bring up or we can order in MDR, no corkage fee for those bottles BUT if WE bring an unopened bottle into the MDR there will be a corkage fee added.

So, just bring your cork screw with you and open in cabin then bring bottle to dinner already opened (we typically pour a glass and bring it with us in our own big wine glasses).

Both excellent pieces of information. Thank you very much!!!
