Thanks for the tips. We decided on a hotel close to the port and reserved a shuttle service to transport us from the airport to the hotel and then from the port back to the airport.

Just looking ahead to our November 2022 Ecstasy cruise...we have never cruised out of Jacksonville before. Flying in three days early and looking for a hotel with an onsite restaurant or restaurants within walking distance and hopefully a shuttle service. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I just put cabin 14476 on hold. It looks to me on the deck plan like the balcony for this cabin may be bigger than the other cabins in this category. What do you guys think? The 800 # rep says she shows the same size in the description.
We are booked in this cabinnext week. I wondered about the balcony size too.

This video from Parodeejay helped ease my anxiety about testing from our hotel room before cruising next month. Dee and Jay perform the test on themselves while being online with the health professional. They also have some great tips on being prepared.
I'll be using my cell phone, so your iPad should work fine as long as you download the Navica App and create an account before you're ready to do the test. I suggest watching the video. It really helped me feel less anxious about testing in my hotel room.

Can I do that on an iPad from our hotel in Florida?

Hi All! We are considering a February 2018 cruise on the Glory and just wondering if most people who have sailed her had positive opinions? We have just returned from a six day on the Vista and absolutely loved it and now I am concerned that the Glory will not compare. I have also cruised the Liberty, Freedom, Valor, Victory,Dream, Breeze and Sunshine. Also can you tell me is there a coffee shop and taste bar on board? Thanks.
This class of ship is my favorite (although any cruise is wonderful)! I'll be sailing on the Glory for the first time in February and am anxious to see the updates.

We got this same email today from Carnival. Both of our cruises on the Glory - February 2019 and April 2019 - guess I'll be contacting our PVP to figure this out! We enjoy the Eastern sailings...not so crazy about many of the Western ports. I haven't see the updated itinerary yet.
I've never canceled a cruise before...this should be interesting...stay tuned :o

So I called Carnival and booked two inside cabins. Paid the $500 per cabin, only to have something come up a couple of weeks later that was not going to allow me to go. I called to Cancel the two cabins and Carnival said you lose $50 per person and we can hold the rest of your $500 per cabin for a future cruise. So they never told me when I booked these cabins that they were early saver and non refundable. When I printed the confirmation I never knew I had to read every bit of the fine on the ticket contract all the way to the bottom. That wouldn't have mattered because they had my money end of discussion! So what did I do wrong?
My first question to the OP is: Have you ever cruised with Carnival? If so, then this is something you should have known. If not, I'm sorry you don't agree with their policy. Hopefully, you can book another cruise in the future.

I have always booked online because it was easy. But ... I just used a PVP and couldn't be happier. He gave me a better price than what was posted online. He will also adjust final payment accordingly if the price of our cabin drops.

YES!!! I had that same trouble earlier. My friend booked the cruise and under payment options, just her name and credit payment option came up. Hope it gets fixed soon.

Too many!!! 224 more until my Glory cruise.

Looking into smaller/private tours in Bar Harbor. I see Oli's trolleys and At You Service taxis mentioned a lot. What are opinions of either tour?
I see that At your service has tours from 1 to 5 hours--if this one how many hours would you recommend ?
Thanks--we are traveling the first week of October!!
Acadia Park Tours hits the highlights around the National Park. You can check it out at http://www.acadiatours.com.
Stewman's has delicious food, as well as Geddy's, Testa's, and Bar Harbor Beer Works.
Have a great cruise and nice visit to Bar Harbor!

235 til the Conquest...wishing I had one before that too.

Cruise Director Josh Waitzman posted this: Thoughts and prayers going out to my beloved Sensation family during a tough time.... I miss and love you all. Stay strong.
I don't know what happened, but something sad did. My thoughts and prayers go out to all affected.

I hope they are not stuck too long. I sure would be at the bar now and I would have NO worries ;)
God forbid I get an extended vacation off the Bermuda coast ;)
:D My nephew and his friends are onboard - the bar is open! All are safe and they are just "hanging" out, waiting to hear when they will sail back to Boston.

We have booked the Conquest for our next cruise. I understand there is no Serenity area on the ship, but is there a place for adults to relax without children around?
The Sky Pool and two hot tubs are adult only - Lido Aft. Kiddoes may be out there to get pizza, but normally it's pretty relaxing in that area. It's my "go-to" place on most ships.
I've got nine months to wait before I'm on the Conquest again.

Anyone else in your rollcall yet?:)
Good one! LOL

9 more days until the Victory!!!

Enjoying your review and especially your photos! The Victory holds a special place in my heart...so #4 coming up. I've shared your review with my group sailing on Feb 16, many of them have either never cruised or been on the Victory. Keep posting your awesome photos and review.

Has anyone ever had Marcelo Alvarado for their CD? I'll be on the Victory in four weeks and have never heard of him...not that it will make much of a difference in my cruise experience, but an energetic CD can certainly get that party started!

43 days - Bring on the Victory!

I've never sailed the Sunshine, but those ports are lovely. The Conquest has had a wonderful upgrade. (I sailed on the Freedom, in June, which had the upgrades and visited Aruba and Curacao - cannot wait to go back there).
Good luck deciding :)

77 days until 49 SnowQueens hit the Victory!

Geesh, trying to check-in for my January 23 Freedom cruise...I can add everything but the return flight. The site has a glitch and I cannot print out my boarding passes. I want those in my hot little hand, so excited to cruise. Hope it's fixed soon so we can all officially be checked in!
