  1. We were given the name of our PVP from our friends that have booked many cruises with her. She is great and she has made numerous changes to my booking for me to accommodate our changing schedule and plans and never complained and I am sure I have been a pain in the butt. She always helps us pick the best cabins because I never know where I want to end up and gives suggestions as to what cabins will be noisy or quiet.

  2. We went in January 2011 and it was cold! There was a cold front that just went through and we had jacketson Embarkment day. First sea day a hooded sweat shirt. Once in the Bahamas it was great weather! Seas were a little rocky but not too bad. I'd go again.

  3. We have done the Legend two years ago. We loved the ports, except Grand Cayman because we missed that stop r/t weather.

    Cozumel - Cozumel Bar Hop! So fun, 4 great stops on the eastern side. Each you are offered a shot and all I believe you can buy food, we ordered food at 2 just to try local food. You are transported on a bus with A/C and your guide is very informative. All stops are on the beach and beautiful.

    Belize - Xunantunich Mayan Ruins. Great tour, 2 hour bus ride where you get to see the country. Your guide tells you about the culture. The Ruins are amazing! You stop at a local place for lunch which was great!

    Roatan - Mahogany Bay. We just took the day to enjoy the beach and it was great! They had a nice snorkeling area for my husband to check out.

  4. My doc just put me on Metformin a couple months ago for type 2 and I'm always looking for ways to cut carbs. I never thought to make a cocktail out of those flavored sugar free squirt bottles. I'm now trying Crystal Light Pomtini with a little vodka. I'm going to order some Go Cocktail tomorrow and give that a try too.

  5. Jeerleader,

    My pom poms make a sound that is pleasing to my ears. It's a gentle rustling sound that drowns out unpleasant noises. Noises like babies crying and adults whining.

    Perhaps your keen comprehension accurately picks up on the contempt I feel for those of the ilk of 'I want it because they got it' crowd.

    What you stated was;

    Translated into straight forward easy to comprehend English you stated;

    Carnival is being consistent in regards to recent events and that's all that most people will look for in terms of what or how much to expect. People who look back to last November will say they feel slighted. Personally I think they gave too much to the Dream cruisers, but that's just my opinion.

    I am a Carnival cheerleader? I point out the good and bad, but one thing I'll never be is a 'Jeerleader.' You choose to label me as a cheerleader and I'll return the favor and call you a jeerleader. Wouldn't want you to feel left out. :)

    Again, you lack the ability to comprehend or you just like to misconstrue what others say so you can attack them. Either way, Have fun with those Pom Poms that you seem so fond of.

  6. I know some people who were on board Triumph; Carnival should refund me something too or give me a percent off a future sailing because I know them. Like you we missed a port; in fact we've missed more than one. We spent all night tied up in port on Dream one time too.

    With all the crap I've been thru do you know what I think I deserve? A cruise paid for by me and all costs associated with it paid for by me. I'm sure I'll get what I deserve. :cool:

    Gimme gimme gimme..............

    I knew it wouldn't be long before one of you Carnival Cheerleaders came to flame me. If you had proper reading comprehension you'd have seen that I said they should have consistency in their refund policies. I also said it would have been nice if my sailing was offered the same. I never said anything close to what you are ranting about. You crack me up!

  7. We were on the Liberty last November and missed St Thomas due to propulsion issues. We got a $50pp refund. Now I see the Legend guest get $100pp refund and 50% off a future cruise for missing one port. They should at least have some consistency in their refund policy. Sure would have been ice if they offered us that. St Thomas was the port we most looked forward to.

  8. Momofzeke - I am getting hooked on your stories. I haven't been able to read all of them since i joined this roll call but what i do read i enjoy. It takes me away to another life I could see myself living that i could only dream of cause hubby likely isn't going to let me have that life. So i dreams.

    My dream (well i have 3, one is a back up incase the first don't pan out and so on) is to someday 1)have a mini farm, cows, chickens, horses, goats and a big garden. I see myself collecting eggs with my future grandkids and picking fresh veggies from the garden. And to make it more appealing to my husband there is a motocross track for him to ride and a music studio in the house. 2) A lake house where we can boat, fish and swim and a studio of course but no motocross track. 3) A florida home close to cruise ports and a big boat to go fishing on the gulf and a studio and again no motocross track. Any of these would make me happy. I am going to get one of these, I just need to win the lottery first, haha :D

  9. Thanks for the kind responses. This thread is very active, i hope i can keep up. It will just be my husband and i on this cruise but the one i am taking in November the 15 & 18 y/o are coming. I bounce back and forth about taking them but I think i just want to keep it mostly as something my husband and i do alone together and if there is an itinary that i think they would love and i have got to take them then i will take them. First i will see how they like this November cruise. They might not like it and they may turn into cruise addicts.

    For the Ohio questions/comments: We have lived in Perrysburg, OH by Toledo for a year. I think i drove through Defiance a few times on our way back to Wisconsin but that is it. We are not originally from Ohio but from Mukwonago WI. My husbands company transferred us out of WI to Tennessee and then to Ohio where they downsized and left us out here. We are happy with that and have made a life here. Although i dream of moving to Florida or somewhere with warm winters I think i am not going anywhere for a while.

    Hope everyone is having a great week :)

  10. Hello everyone. Just thought i would drop by and say hello. We have been doing well, just spent a great weekend at Lake Cumberland in Kentucky. It had rained a lot but we had the best time. We took our boat and explored the lake, tried fishing but it is too hot and the fish aren't biting, we swam off the back of the boat and i went tubing for the first time. I made my husband go slow so i wouldn't get dumped in the middle of the lake. We liked it so much we are planning a weekend in October when the lake cools off and fishing will be better.

    I probably haven't really introduced myself properly. My name is Jenny, i'm 40 and live near Columbus Ohio. My husband is John and we have been married 22 years and have 3 kids (22,18,15) the oldest 2 are girls. We are small business owners and we work hard to try to grow our business everyday. Other than that not much to tell, just your average American family. Now that my kids are getting older I am trying to incorporate some travel plans in my life with my hubby.

  11. Is this where all the Adkins diet people are? I am just starting on Adkins again today, 2nd try. I tried it last fall and lost a good deal of weight in a 3 week period but I live with carb monsters and slipped back into my old habits. I am not much of a dieter and have always just eaten at will. Getting older and some of the health issues, I am realizing i need a change and would like to lose weight, lower cholesterol (triglycerides) and BP, and avoid diabetes and heart problems. Look forward to talking with everyone.
