  1. There are phones near each or most restaurants and bars. Its 8.95 per phone not per text, but what i dont know is if its per day. On our last cruise with the kids, there was no app. We had it planned that a)we each highlighted the activities on our dailies we were most likely to attend, B) we set up set meeting times back at the cabin for meals and lastly, we had a small magnetic whiteboard we stuck on the wall so if our plans changed, we all promised to either return to the cabin or call and leave a message. It worked great!!!

  2. Burrard st train station is about 5 to 6 blocks away (at the Hyatt) from Blue H. From there i would travel to waterfront Stn and switch trains to the Canada Line. Either one will take you to Bridgeport station (at the River Rock Casino) where you transfer to the 620 bus. It will take you to the ferries. This leg takes approx 1 hour. The ferry itself is 1 hour 40 min. Depending on the time of year, the ferries run hourly (summers and long weekends) or every 2 hours. So your bus will get you there on time or an hour early . The 2 zone fare is 6.75 pp and you buy the compass ticket at the kiosks in the train station or at the ferries. On the Island, the bus leaves the ferries at the top of the hour. The fare is $2.50, however if you plan on taking a second bus the same day, buy the $5 day pass from the driver. Exact change. Its about 45 min to downtown Victoria

  3. Has anyone requested use of the fitness center or other area for private use ? Was there a charge? 5 of us want to do zumba on the ship, as one of us is an instructor. With a larger (20) group a few years ago, they let us use Bliss and the Spinnakers lounge in the wee hours. If not, Does the Pearl offer zumba???

  4. There are enough different free choices on board that it is not necessary to eat at a specialty if you don't want to. (MDR , Indigo, O sheehans, lotus and the buffet.) Especially for 5 days. Im also on this cruise.!!!! We plan on O'Sheehans for lunch. and late night, maybe a breaky, buffet for most breakfasts and dinners in MDR or Indigo. There is also the grills on pool deck. My first time on the Pearl I did eat in La Cucina and found it was just ok. Saving my $$ this time and use it to go bowling

  5. I am not sure what you mean by gratuities - if you are paying them as part of your free booking perks, those are included in your final payment. As for any other gratuities you might incur at the dining venues they could be covered by OBC. The DSC is the $13.50 pp/day and at least on our last cruise, it could not be covered by OBC. BTW we usually pre-pay this to make my accounting easier and to save paper on the final bill :D

I meant the DSC . I doubt my obc is refundable, so i cant apply it to my DSC? Good thing i can usually find something to spend on the ship.

  6. On my upcoming cruise our NCL OBC is split between the first two people in the cabin and it shows that way on our amenity receipt.

On our last cruise our TA also gave us some OBC - it showed up as a gift within 24 hrs after boarding.

OBC of any kind can't be used for DSC. NCL OBC is non refundable so they keep what you don't use. Gift OBC is refundable and if you don't use it you get it back. They typically use the NCL OBC first and the gift last.

I can apply it to my gratuities i hope. The first 2 people is fine. On princess we had $75 OBC all on my card, we went to guest services and they split it for us. Hope ncl does same

  7. I have mine on the detailed invoice from the TA and she said it would appear onboard. However I get nervous when I don't see things on NCL "officially" before getting there. I can't imagine you could do much once on board if it isn't there.

I get nervous too. Its only $100 total if its all accounted for, but with 3 of us in the cabin it all helps. As my first port of call is my home town, i may be able to call my TA from the ship. Lol.

Ok so maybe its my province. Its actually BCAA which is affiliated with AAA in the US. They had a promotion at the time of booking for a $25 OBC only on NCL I believe. I wrote AAA as most people on CC are American and ask what BCAA is.

  9. Im sailing in 2 weeks and have been told i have obc from my TA $50, AAA $25 and NCL $25.

On my confirmation it shows only the $50 offered by the TA company but not the other 2

My daughters only shows her $25 AAA ( CABIN IS NEXT DOOR)

I asked my TA and he says its on the Edocs or will appear onboard. Its not on my edocs or my online NCL WEBSITE.

    WHEN WILL I SEE IT
