     Re: Pizza.   Was on the Riviera in January along with 5 other passengers ,all originally from New York. All agreed--- The new Pizza recipe compared very favorably with New York Pizza.

     I am glad for you that your experience was positive.

     

    . In answer to your question----

    We were originally told that we could leave the luggage outside our room with the Luggage Forward tags attached  and that it would be picked up and given to  Luggage Forward. (Confirmed this with ship personal when I boarded)

     I never expected Luggage Forward to be responsible for getting my bags off the ship, but that the ship would take care of getting the bags to them. 

     

    I neglected to mention this on my prior post.

  4.  HORRIBLE ! Experience  With Luggage Forward

     

    Traveled on Cunard Queen Elizabeth in May 2022 (Southampton  to FT. Lauderdale) Paid Luggage Forward to send my luggage from Ft. Lauderdale to San Francisco.

     

    I was responsible for getting my luggage off the ship. No assistance from Luggage Forward.

     

    There was no Rep in the cruise terminal and NO ONE ever showed up to pick up my luggage. 

     

    I waited an hour and transported my luggage myself after Luggage Forward told me they were on the way. THEY NEVER SHOWED UP

     

    Their Customer Service in their Boston office was useless  and it took many calls  for them to respond. 

    After many calls they credited my original payment  without any explanation.

  5. We were fortunate to have sailed with Paul & Marsha many times all over the world.   Luckily we remained close friends with them for many years.

     Always enjoyed our monthly lunches when not sailing. 

     

    RIP our dear friend.

    Oceania cancelled my June 11, Tokyo - San Francisco  cruise around March 1, and issued credit back to my CC.

    I  had used points and AA put the points back in my account with no charge. * (See explanation)

     

    * AA had e-mailed me previously telling me my flight had changed departure time. I could cancel with no charges.

    At that time if the flight were not changed they would have charged me for cancellation.

    I have been on many Oceania many times and have always been pleased with their food . I agree with you, Red Ginger is my favorite .

  8. Agree with Paulchili. 👏

     

    Returned in August from a 24 day cruise on Marina.

    We were a party of 6 who had over 40 Oceania cruises between us.

    This trip was excellent.

    We all felt that the food was the best of all our trips.

    When you go on your next Oceania cruise I suggest you try the buffet for dinner. It is not your "normal "buffet"

  9. I have done my research. I am a regular Celebrity cruiser and am well aware of the cost differences. I have found many threads but mostly vague. If you don't have an answer to the question posted I am not sure why you are chiming in.

    I have found him to be informative, accurate , respectful and a positive addition to all posts.

    I think you may have misinterpreted his response.

  10. the R Ships do not work anymore and the Newer ships are teriffic but need to be up dated. At this rate there in no future for Oceania as we know it. Need new ships as every other cruise line is getting. Too bad that we will have to look elsewhere in the future.

  11. 💀 CAUTION 💀

    Celebrity sells Apple products on some of their ships.

    But from my experience you should be very careful.

    Their Apple products may not be the newest models despite what they tell you. The salespeople in the stores are IMO dishonest.

    Celebrity tells you that the Apple products can be returned to any Apple store. ---FALSE---They can only be returned to the Celebrity Apple store

    I purchased an Apple computer and found out it was last years model. Celebrity insisted it was not and refused to do anything.

    . I then supplied the serial number from Apple listing the model year, and proof from Apple that they would not exchange or take back any product purchased on Celebrity.

    Celebrity finally took it back, but stalled for over a month with misinformation and broken promises.

     

    Very poor customer relations 😣

  12. We have found the "entertainment " to be the delightful cruisers that you meet from all over the world.We have had the pleasure of sailing with many of the cruisers active on this post and have found their company to be one of the reasons we choose Oceania.

    Of course there are exceptions, but overall the passengers on Oceania are a congenial bunch. 😜

     

     

    If you want a more carnival atmosphere feel free to choose another line.

     

     

    In any case enjoy whatever cruise you are taking. We do ! 👏

  13. If your airline changed your flight you MAY be able to change it to one that is better for you at no cost. Normally America Airlines sends out an e-mail saying

    that there has been a change in your flight and you can contact an AA Agent.

    HAL (last cruise many years ago)

    Princess

    United cruises (never cruised with them yet - only coming up)

    Vigin Atlantic (Flew Virgin domestic once)

    Turkish (a couple flights in the past)

    FlyerTalk

    and CruiseCritic

    but nothing from O - a company I used more often than all of the above combined.

    Not a big deal, but still...... :(
