  1. I am right in the middle of this process, booking 8+ rooms for a 50th High School reunion in June 2025. I called the group sales office. What they did was book 8 interior cabins JUST as placeholders, then gave me a group number and I named the group. I was able to get the information that there were several balcony cabins available, side-by-side in the area we had decided on. My classmates had/have until 8/9 to join, but most of them called the group office right away, gave them their information, picked the cabin they wanted and paid the deposit (fully refundable until 4/25) and we grabbed all of those cabins. Because I had set it up, I receive email confirmations of their bookings from Carnival. We still have until August to add to the group. I believe that if you DO book 8 cabins, you get one free, and if you book 16, you get two free (they apparently average the cost of the booked/paid cabins to determine the class of the free cabin). Since it's kind of weasel-y to take the free cabin, I'm 'hoping' that instead of that, we can substitute perks instead (specialty restaurant credits, excursion credits, that sort of thing), but I have no clue if that is possible....
  2. Hi! First time Princess cruise coming up in 2024. Traveling with family (there will be nine of us). I've read through Medallion posts and see that you have to give permission for people traveling with you to 'see' you. Say, just for example, my husband and I don't want to be 'found' and just want to spend a day or evening alone, can we rescind permission for awhile and then (maybe) grant it again? They're family, we love them, but..... 🙄
  3. I realize that this is an ancient thread, but I was also wondering if there is now a club on the Majestic where we can dance to rock/disco music. Either Band or DJ s fine; we just like to dance just not the twirly-dancing. Thanks!
  4. The Princess Cruise we've booked for next June spends from 7:00pm until 11:59pm in Victoria. One of the excursions offered is Fireworks at Butchart Gardens, which I thought would be awesome, as the cruise ends the next day; kind of a 'last hurrah'. BUT, then it specifically says this excursion is only offered July-September (so why they added it to potential excursions for our sailing is a mystery). We're not really 'garden' people, so we'll likely pass on the Garden/High Tea excursions. I've read on CC about 'fake' pubs, but we can be gullible if the food, drinks and music are good! Any suggestions for a fun, maybe a little crazy way to spend our last night? Thanks!
  5. Our travel agent booked this cabin for our family reunion Alaska cruise in 2024 (early planning). Any photos, advice, opinions you's like to share? Thanks!
