  1. We were just on the Freedom last month and they didn’t show the film with all the ships. There was also no dancing and very little music. They introduced the staff, the Captain talked a bit, they recognized Diamond cruisers, and gave away a few awards. The drinks and snacks were plentiful. One of the least attended parties we have seen in awhile.

  2. We leave on the Freedom on Saturday. 1st time sailing on the Freedom. We have sailed all three Dream class ships and almost all of the Conquest class ships and we have enjoyed each one.

Any day on a cruise ship is better than a day at work!

  3. On embarkation day go up and visit Camp Ocean. They are open for certain times to allow your child to “tour” the area and so you can finalize any last minute paperwork. It might get them excited to see all the cool toys. On the first night of some cruises Camp Ocean has a family party and I encourage you to attend. When our granddaughter was younger this always helped her to meet other kids her age on the ship.

We always start the cruise by getting the schedule for the week and then our granddaughter goes through and chooses which activities she wants to attend.

  4. My experience is that they are willing to allow siblings to stay together but only IF the number of children on board allows for this to happen. The numbers of children in each age group will be a deciding factor. I would suggest making the request after you board but I would prepare your children just in case they cannot accommodate your request

  5. We sailed the Splendor in February and had a good time. The decor is a bit over the top for my taste but certainly didn't affect my cruise. We thought the placement of the 2 hot tubs on each side of deck 10 were interesting since they are inside.

We had the most amazing ocean view cabin. All the way front deck 9 right above the bridge. Our window looked out the front of the ship. Most amazing view we have ever had.

  6. We have been Platinum for several years now and there have been some gifts we have really enjoyed and others we didn't really care for but we always remember that they are a gift and Carnival doesn't have to give us anything.

If you don't like the gift Carnival gives either leave it in your cabin, return it to Guest Services, or give it away but I see no reason to be rude about receiving a gift.
