Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Just off the Serenade today and WJ had a carafe of milk and a carafe of half and half side by side at the coffee stations each morning.
  2. Yes! This is the one I have heard about and would love to see!
  3. Let us know if you are successful 🙂 I would love to see the Bon Jovi tribute band but have no idea what ship they are on or when… We also enjoyed a great band on our Ovation cruise to Alaska last summer called The Switched On Band that I would love to see again!
  4. I would book now so you don’t risk them selling out but definitely check back often as there are frequent “sales” especially around major holidays. Black Friday in particular usually has some pretty good deals. The cheapest I have seen the water park cabanas recently is $999 and passes $79 but varies by ship and sail date.
  5. You can order a can of soda a la carte from any bar or restaurant for around $4 a can including gratuity.
  6. Our very first cruise in August 2012 left Ft. Lauderdale just as Hurricane Isaac was rolling in. 60 mph wind gusts on deck. Our itinerary was reversed and the seas were a little rough the first couple of days but we had a GREAT time! Still cruising 11 years later 😁
  7. Looks delicious! I still make my Gigi’s recipe and we call it gravy 🍝🇮🇹
  8. Park cafe in Central Park should also be open for breakfast. Grab and go bagels, breakfast sandwiches, breakfast burritos, fruit, etc. Not sure if Johnny Rocket’s is open on disembarkation morning or not but they have a good breakfast menu.
  9. I saw on your other post that you are doing the Southern Caribbean itinerary so I just want to pass along one suggestion. I’m not sure what your family’s interests are or how adventurous you are, but when we were in Aruba we rented UTV’s (not ATV’s) to tour the island on our own and we had a BLAST! Our 20 something DD and niece were with us and they loved it! I thought it might be something your teenager would enjoy. You can go on your own or with a guided tour if you don’t feel comfortable going out on your own.
  10. We were on Odyssey in January. There is a rock climbing wall, Flow Rider surf simulator, Ripcord by iFly skydiving simulator, Skypad VR trampolines, North Star, pools and hot tubs, Seaplex with bumper cars, dodgeball, volleyball, basketball, laser tag, video games, ping pong, air hockey, Zone Zero VR experience (for a nominal charge) plus there’s a teen club that has video games and other teenage friendly activities. LOTS to do! 😎
  11. Another vote for Portside BBQ! Playmakers wings are pretty good but I would consider them for a snack or lunch. On a side note, I’m not sure if they have the Aqua80 show on short cruises or not, but it’s a must see if you have the opportunity! Enjoy your cruise!!
  12. Is there a time limit that you have to book and also for the sail date?
  13. We were not impressed with Aeromyth. The band is really good but the lead singer 🙄 Let’s just say he’s no Steven Tyler 😂
  14. I also highly recommend Bernard’s Tours. We used them on our very first cruise visit to St. Martin in 2012 and have used them again on our two subsequent visits. They have a variety of options that include Maho, super reasonable prices and they’re very reliable.
  15. Once check in opens up for your cruise you can check in for both you and your mom if you are on the same reservation or the reservations are linked. On the App you can choose your arrival time as soon as it opens up without having to finish the entire check in process (this only works on the app, not online). Key gets you priority boarding. You can skip uploading the pic if you want, they will take your pic at the terminal, takes two seconds. Enjoy your cruise 🙂
