1. Thanks so much for your review and especially your pictures. DH and myself are not good about either so when our friends and children want to know what our trip was like(particularly on the ship--where we took NO pictures)--I will just show them yours and say that was us!

Seriously you have done a fabulous job and even tho we were on the next leg of the trip it was as if we were along with you or you were along with us.

Just wish you had pictures of Amsterdam and Copenhagen to go along with these, then we would have a full set for an album of our cruise!

What is your next Seabourn trip?

I hope you do a similar review with pictures for that.

Thanks again for a great memory.

2. Alas,Shedridt, I think it was I to whom you replied---and you were entirely correct--we had a fabulous time and if there were any elitists on board, it was my pleasure not to have run across them. Our cruise was only for 7 days but we booked another before we left the ship--the next time in Aug. for 15 days to the Baltic/St. Petersburgh--we were on the Oydessy but we will be on the Pride--everything I have read on CC praises the small ships highly --so I am looking forward to this cruise--I know that some people who respond on here frequently are aquaintances from other cruises and they are aware when they are being tongue-in-cheek or ironic but some of us new to this board are not --and when we read things, we are likely to take it to heart rather than with a grain of salt--but I will try to discern what is meant to be serious and what is meant to be someone's idea of humor. Thus when I reply to another's concern, I will try to remember what it felt like to be the newbie and put their uncertainities to rest rather than stir up further anxieties.
3. Thanks to everyone that responded ---I am feeling a lot better about the cruise---I know that no matter where you go there will likely be someone who isn't going to become your "new best friend" but it seems to me anybody can be friendly and gracious-- even if they don't want to spend any time getting to know you, they do not have to treat you as if you were not worthy of their time.
I am truly excited about the trip and I know it will be a wonderful new experience--I treasure the opportunity for a "first time I've ever done this" feeling!!!
Thanks again for the reassurances--maybe this also helped another "new-to-cruising" person feel more confident about their trip.
4.
I was very much looking forward to our first Seabourne cruise, but must admit that reading this thread causes some trepidation. Exactly what constitutes the "unwashed masses"? I am aware that Seabourne is a luxury line....I was not aware that it was an elitist line??
Couldn't agree more--who are these SNOBS??? This is my first cruise ever and if I run across the people that have been posting about "unwashed masses" that have gotten a good deal on price as not being worthy to be in the same room with them--it may be a loooooong 7 days.
Surely there are some people that don't think like that on Seabourn--if not my husband and our traveling buddies and myself have made a bad error--but we couldn't figure out any other practical way to go to the Greek Isles other than a cruise.
