Today I booked a snorkeling tour in Barbados through Celebrity. The buses to and from were open air and playong loud music like YMCA and people were singing aong, how annoying 😤 .when we got.to.the catamaran, they made us wait till AFTER snorkeling to serve rum punches. The.water wasn't heated and I had to swim around to find the sea turtles. I was exhausted. Fortunately they did have rum punch, but they were served in PLASTIC cups! People kept rocking the boat with their dancing. Well I barely survived all this abuse. 20230228_154628.mp4 20230228_154900.mp4

I don't eat in the OV for dinner. It's way too many floors up to make it at dinner time. I wish they would be more sympathetic to those of us who are worn out by the end of the day and move the OV to a lower deck in the evening. I do go for lunch and there are way too many good choices of food. It makes it very difficult to make a decision 🤔. Darn them.

20230227_204908.mp4 Because we couldn't figure any better way to use the $1700 in OBC we got with the help of our TA and Celebrity, after using a lot of it for excursions we used the rest of ot for the Daniel Boulud special dinner. It ended up being just 4 of us since the others who had reservations got sick. Once again, Celebrity blew it. They served way too much food and too many servers. We had to listen to the chef explaining every dish before we could eat it. Every dish was served butterfly style by two servers. How intrusive. 😢. By the end of the evening we were too full to make it to the silent disco. On top of that they gave us this giant heavy cookbook we have to carry home. DARN! Check it out. BEWARE !

Today we finally found a port, St. Kitts and Nevis. We were forced to wind our way through all these shops on the way back from our excursion. Due to this exteme pressure I had to purchase wife a few sparkly t-shirts, a cover up and a magnet. The sun was high and no sun hats or umbrellas were provided. 😡 When we got back to the ship we endured a French themed buffet with Beef Bourgogne and Chicken St Jaque. What was really bad was they had all these damn French pastries and Brulee's. How am I supposed to keep my weight down when they keep throwing food like this at me. Oh, and this dolphin kept dragging me all over the place.

OK another few complaints. It took us 2 full days at sea to reach Saint Kitts tomorrow. I can't believe they can't make this ship move faster. We had to spend 2 days lolling around on lounge chairs in the sun baking or playing Trivia or eating or dancing just waiting to get the same Kitts. What an ordeal! 😡 Worse than that, I wanted to take the perfect sunset shot behind the trailing wake and he just didn't know how to line the ship up properly and I had to take this crummy picture instead.

Ok, so I got on an elevator today on deck 4 and I had the room to myself. Unfortunately, people kept stopping it on the way up and getting on. Can you imagine? I thought I had an express to the pool deck , but no, these rude people kept stopping it on other floors and getting on. I'm going to continue to tlkeep track of these abominations son I can let Celebrity know at the end. Till then, I'm heading back to the bar to drown my sorrows.

So far I am highly disappointed that I can't find things to complain about. I had Steak Dianne last night in Tuscan and will have Beef Tenderloin tonight in Normandie. I have had no problems having multiple drinks at multiple bars. Yesterday they had a music and mixology get together for Elite CC and higher where they had a flair bartender make three different cocktails and served them to the entire room. The comedian and the "Uptown" shows were excellent. The silent disco was packed. If I didn't require a chair by the pool, lounging elsewhere seemed to have the same sun exposure. The guest speaker on Mystery and Detective shows was fantastic. I know its only day three, but I will diligently continue to look for things to complain about and get back to you ASAP.

Where’s the Beef? Meatloaf in Blu!

I'm on board the Edge right now and had Steak Dianne in the Tuscan main dining room. It was excellent. Tonight we eat in Normandie and I will have the Beef Tenderloin. -
What is this on the deck plan for Edge class?

I thought one of the benefits of the Edge class ships was the very large tenders with easy access from the magic carpet? I've been on the Apex but none of the ports required tenders. -
We had nine of us every night on the Apex anytime dining. We sat at a table for 10 . No problem. Now we only had 1900 people on board.

I have been on all 3 classes of celebrity ships. The 1st time I went on the edge class was last October on the Apex in Europe. When I got the Burger in the mast grill I was pleasantly surprised that it was much much thicker than what I used to get on the other ships. I didn't know if this was an improvement in the edge class Burger or just an upgrade from previous cruises. These burgers were fresh because there was usually a line. I thought they were very good and juicy. I will be on the edge in a couple of days and I'm hoping they are just as good as they were on the Apex.

I find it very humorous when I see these kind of continuous posts about no meat on the menus. Then I see people who are on board posting the menu and I kind of have a disconnect. Maybe they're on the menu but they won't serve them? This is from the Solstice yesterday. -
1st of all I'm enjoying your review. My wife and I will be on the same cruise in 2 weeks. The magic carpet moves to the lowest deck deck when it is used by the tenders. The Edge class tenders are much larger and easier to board from the magic carpet. Your cruise doesn't visit ports that require tenders. It also acts as a patio for Raw on Five on occasion. It sounds like you have had some weather issues that would have made this not an option. Those are it's three positions, so it is more than just a gimmick. Check for it at Raw on five if you have a nice sea day and they open for lunch. They also offer a specialty dining experience on it that is quite expensive. Keep up the good work!😁

E-class MDR - reduction in number of choices?
StillLooking4Adventure replied to Seacrab's topic in Celebrity Cruises
That's not true. We are sailing on the 24th of February and the menus have been on the app for at least last month or two. They have currently disappeared from all of the dining rooms. They must be updating the menu's. I'm hoping for the better.
