We are coming in a couple of days early before the cruise. I see Las Olas mentioned a lot. What do you recommend in that area?

We are coming into Ft. Lauderdale a couple of days before our March cruise. What would you recommend we do/see in Ft. Lauderdale. Are the everglades worth seeing, and, if so, where do you go or who do you contact to do this. We are staying at the Airport/Hilton, but we are driving in, so distance is not a problem.

Also, you mention water taxis and this sounds like fun. Where do you go to get the water taxi?

Need a precruise park and cruise hotel for March for Ft. Lauderdale panama canal cruise. Trying to decide between Cambria Suites and LaQuinta. Any suggestions between these two or other hotels?

I just found this thread and have questions about the Fort Lauderdale port. We are driving in and have always gone out of Tampa or Jacksonville. Ft. Lauderdale port on the website looks huge with lots of terminals. Are you assigned a specific terminal to enter? Also, can you drop off your baggage and then park or do you have to park first and take your baggage with you? We will be driving in and also looking for a hotel close to the port and possibly a shuttle to the port.

I have read that the parking at the Tampa port is very confusing and that the parking garages are not properly marked. Can someone help with this so we won't be riding around in a circle or parking in the wrong lot?

What is the best cruise line for a Panama Canal cruise? Were thinking Princess or Celebrity but looking for suggestions and best itinery.
