I've been so busy plus another cruise right after NS that I haven't had time. I'm gonna try to and post it today. It's the pics that are really time consuming. I have like 600 and I have to go through them and upload them.
Thank you so much, looking forward to seeing photos as well! Rick

I'm in the process of writing a review of last weeks cruise on NS. We dined in every single restaurant but Club Orange. Honestly it had zero appeal. It looks like a cafeteria and the chairs leftover from the Lido of a former HAL ship. Four tables even have exhaust fans over them from when this was planned as an interactive demonstration kitchen. I'm glad the service and cuisine were excellent, but the atmosphere is severely lacking for an upscale dining venue. Sel de Mer on the other hand hit all the key points for us. Loved it.
Hi Ernie
I'm anxious to read your review of the "Nieuw Statendam" as I'm sailing on "Koningsdam" April 29!

I was on this crossing in 2017 and it was incredible. Would do it again anytime

Well, it really does sound like another cut back. For a line that promotes itself as upscale, and has done a great job in the past, these cutbacks are quite disappointing!

Thank you all for the reply. The tip to preorder might come in handy! However, we have open seating. Wonder if that will cause an issue?

I have always enjoyed tge chilled soup on HAL, and look forward to tasting new varieties. However, I now hear that they are no longer offered . I remember them last year on "Eurodam". I'm sailing on Koningsdam at the end of April and hope to be offered at least a few?
I fear yet another cutback.....please tell me I am mistaken.

As usual your photos are beautiful!
Can't wait to see and hear more

Are you gentlemen interested in meeting up at sail away..?
We would love to meet up the evening of sailing. However I'm hoping if the weather is decent for an invite to the helipad. I've always wanted to be on the bow during departure. Meeting at the Martini Bar sounds perfect

I signed us up for the cabin crawl today. That should be interesting and fun.

Way back in October of 2001 we were in a Celebrity Suite, but have not sailed on Celebrity since 2010. Soooo this will be a new experience for us. We cruise usually about 3 times a year and think it's a wonderful value. This Sky Suite has a larger balcony than many so we will have to have a get together for our group one afternoon or evening.
Have you sailed Aqua Class before? I would be interested in what you think of Blu. It will be fun to compare notes. We are flying into Newark on the 20th. Once we disembark in San Juan we are heading to the airport to fly to Ft. Lauderdale for a few days before returning to Indiana.

Hi Jack
Looking forward to meeting you. My I ask what type of cabin you have? We have a Sky Suite (such a good deal) and wanted to try out Luminae . We sail Cunard a lot, but not in suites. I wonder how this compares to the Grills on Cunard?

Hello everyone,
This is Rick and Jeff from Indiana and Illinois and we are happy to join you all. We last sailed on Summit in 2004.
Peter, I'm looking forward to meeting you as i so enjoy reading your comments on the Holland America board!

I agree 100%. While i would love to visit St. Petersburg I will not travel to Russia while Putin and company are in charge. I fully support PM May.

We have been assigned these cabins which we booked as a guarantee. Does anyone have photos of obstruction outside of the balcony? I dont think it is too bad and i like the location. So looking forward to the new ship

The first of what is niw over 90 sailings was on NCL "Skyward" over Christmas in 1972 to the EasternCaribbean when I was 9 years old. I guess I'm hooked!

This is disturbing! Was your flight charter or scheduled? Im sailing on Queen Victoria Oct 8 and am flying Gatwick to Rome on scheduled BA. Why so many problems in Rome?
-
Hi Ernie
As usual I love reading your reviews and looking at your brilliant photos! We are next sailing on QueenVictoria in October and then the new Koningsdam at the end of January. Do you have a sailing on Koningsdam? Would love your thoughts on this.
