For platinum cruisers and/or if you have an excursion booked through carnival, do you still need a ticket to tender?

I am platinum but that didn't matter because I had a Carnival Excursion booked. No ticket necessary. It was printed on our ticket to meet in one of the dining rooms and when we got there they immediately sent us to the tenders. I don't believe platinums and diamonds need tickets but not sure about that.

does anyone know what day the VIFP party is

Sorry if someone has already answered this but I didn't see it. I just got off Panorama yesterday and the VIFP party (Platinums and diamonds only) was on Friday at 5:00 in the Liquid Lounge. I know people often ask here if they can bring a guest who is not at least platinum. Our invitations had our name on it and then "and guest." I don't know if this is always the case or if they allow guests only when there are not so many platinums and diamonds.

  3. I just got off my first platinum cruise. the perks aren't that great but I still appreciated them, especially my cabin being ready early and the free laundry. I did have one woman (a passenger, not an employee) get nasty with me when I went on through the doors to my cabin before 1:30. She made sure to inform me that I wasn't allowed to go to my cabin yet. I just kept right on going. Probably a first time Carnival cruiser and didn't understand about the different loyalty levels or FTTF that give you early access to your cabin.

  4. I noticed this same thing just today when I decided to cancel the soda I had ordered. I had ordered 2 - 6 packs of soda. I was considering only cancelling only one but I had to cancel both. It's only soda so not a lot of money and I could still go in and order one if I decide to. At least I don't have a lot of money tied up waiting for a refund.

  5. Try doing a mock booking on line and see if when you put in 2 ppl, if the triple ocean suite comes up. I ran into this once where triples and quads were available to be booked on line but when I spoke to a rep by phone, she tried to tell me they weren't available to be booked by smaller parties than the cabin could hold. She was wrong. This was pretty close to final payment though. For the longest time, triples and quads were not available for smaller parties but then one day the finally released them.

Thank you for your reply....so if we wanted to chat using the hub app we would have to buy 5 hub apps and also 3 internet plans because the hub app isn't included in the internet package?

Correct, but, you might be able to get away with only one or two internet plans. You can share internet between devices but only one device at a time can be connected. You log on using the folio number of the person who bought the plan. Basically it comes down to whether or not you think you will all want to be online at the same time. My daughter and I shared a plan. she knew my folio number and used it when she wanted to use the internet.

  7. We think we got our answer. My friend called Carnival and this rep said that as long as it's in my friends name only, it doesn't matter who the other person is. My friend is sure too that when she purchased the couples spa pass, she only selected her name. I'm sure I'll have to go to the spa with her the first time but after that I should be fine to go on my own.

  8. I called Carnival and got kind of a vague answer. I wasn't really expecting a definite answer. The rep thinks my friend should be able to change the name herself in her booking. She is going to try that. The rep then said that if that doesn't work we should have our TA call Carnival. Not sure whey we'd have to involve our TA since things like spa and shore excursions generally don't have to be handled by the TA. I just want to make sure it can be done before we go because if it isn't transferable, my friend would be better off just canceling her husband off the spa pass to save herself some money. I would really hate to board and be told it can't be done and by that time it would probably be too late to cancel her husband. Also, at least as of last night there were no more spa passes available to be purchased on line. I don't really need the pass. I won't be upset if I don't get one. I was just hoping someone here would be able to say, "Oh yeah, we switched out someone on a pass with no problem."

Did she have to put names in when she bought them?

She bought a single pass for the 3rd person in her cabin and that one has that persons name on it but she bought a "couples" pass for herself and her husband and it only has her name on it. u don't know if she had to select his name when she bought it.

  10. Does anyone know if spa passes are transferable? Going on The Panorama next month and my friend bought a couples spa pass for herself and her husband when there was a special. Now he is saying he won't use his. Can I go in his place? We are NOT trying to share a pass. I'd be buying it off of my friend. Just trying to save a few dollars since she got the passes when there was a special. I'm just afraid it will be tied to his folio number so they won't allow it. If that were the case, my friend would be better off just canceling his and I could buy my own but now it will cost more. I will also call Carnival to see what they say but you know how you can talk to 10 different people and get 10 different answers.🙄

They are currently (as of right now when I checked) selling Rockstar on the website to be delivered to your room.

Where exactly are you seeing this on the website? I can only find water to be delivered to the cabin. What I really want is a 12 pack of Diet Pepsi to be delivered. Am I missing something?

Yes, that is what they matched. The only difference between the 2 is one serves lunch, the other breakfast. I am only getting about $7.70 back but I bought the Carnival excursion with the 10% off Black Friday promo so I would get less.

  13. I am also wondering has anyone had sucess getting an unopened can of soda from the bar? I know that they are supposed to open then and pour them but I like having a Diet Pepsi when I first wake up in the morning. I don't drink coffee so that is my morning caffeine. I'd like to be able to pick up a can from a bar the day before so that it's in my cooler for the morning. I know I could just carry on a 12 pack, and I still might but I'd rathe  not hassle with it and besides, if I have the soda package then I'd be more likely to get my moneys worth out of it.

I submitted a form on 12/31 also and have not heard back yet.

I got the approval email yesterday. It was for whale watching in Cabo, the one on the bigger boat with lunch and open bar. I priced matched it to the one on Shore Excursioneer. Someone else here on CC had reported that they had been successful with that one. I was a little afraid they would say no because the one on Carnival has lunch while the one on Shore Excursioneer has breakfast but otherwise is the same.

  15. My cruise on the Panorama next month will be my first platinum cruise. I have purchased FTTF on my last few cruise. Glad I don't need to do that anymore. In fact, so far it isn't available for my sailing and even if it was, I don't think I would have purchased it because it has gotten sop expensive. the other thing I am most excited for is the free laundry. I won't have to pack as much.
