  1. we sail epic this sat 26th , i've been reading all info about how first cruise was terminal 1 then was supposed to be T10 thereafter, my edocs printed middle October say T5.... I reloaded edocs today and it doesn't say any terminal....any thoughts or knowledge on this would be appreciated..

  2. Will do, thanks Harriet! For the moment, there has been no resolution. We do not expect that there will be, and so our next challenge will be to secure a refund of the port taxes and fees that we have paid, since we are already inside the 120 day window.

I was curious about the timeline, when you booked and when you got the call? and also how close was the cruise when you got the call?

sorry I just read original post again.....duh!!

  3. hey sorry if this has been asked but I ran across something the other day that said you can't put on luggage tags on sodas and check them in NOLA, they said something about you had to carry on yourself? has anyone personally experienced this? I would like to know before we cruise in two weeks on the NCL Dawn. thanks for any responses

  4. I'm not real sure as I do a lot of research and it was not a familiar site but I will try looking through my PC' s history when I get back to it, I am on my iPad now which is what I usually use....sorry for now

  5. I recently read on some website that there is a minimum number of guests in a family suite We booked the suite with balcony for the room and bathroom, its only me and my wife, so is this an issue I need to worry about? final payment is due in Sept. surely we would have been notified at booking? Anyone else had experience with this? is this an issue at all? any info would be appreciated and thanks in advance!

  6. hey all, I am a casino comped guest embarking in MIaimi. I have read a few post that VIP guest have a completely different check in line, is this true? should I go to that line under circumstances? any info would be appreciated. We have only sailed out of NOLA and were VIP embark there. thanks in advance

  7. I agree with this 100%. I'm wondering what was meant by "given gold CAS cards on the cruise..." I am assuming that because this was prior to the new CAS levels, the poster was given "gold colored cards", which meant very little at the end of the old program. At that time, they were using up all the different colored cards (purple, bronze, gold) and the colors were given randomly, with mostly old colored cards given because there were so many of these left. Heck, my 18 year old daughter was given a gold colored card on her first "legal" sailing.

As to any association between being a TR Diamond and a CAS player, there really is none. Yes, a TR Diamond will likely get more "free cruise certificate" offers than a TR Gold, and a higher % discount, but that's about where it ends.. I have been a TR Diamond for many years, and it has gotten me nothing on NCL, other than a few cheap free cruise offers for Inside, OV, or Balcony cabins. CAS, on the other hand, has always supplied me with minimum free mini suite, on any sailing at any time, with no "certificate" needed.. I've stopped bothering to pick up the certificates, as I've never found a use for them.. I have always done better with CAS directly..

Thank you for this, I have two or three more of their "free" cruise vouchers now, but I probably will not pursue. It was more like a really good excuse to go on another cruise.. Lol. With your words I will definetly go with CAS from now on after this cruise next week. Thanks

  8. Actually, your tier level will get you better offers with a higher tier.

    See this link

At the same time, the programs are NOT linked together. Play from one does not track with the other.

Maybe that is what you were saying.

I was just curious as this was my first ncl cruise how I was given gold statu? And how it would be determined now on my upcoming cruise, it's not an issue was simple curiousity...thanks

  9. hey all, I was reading this post and got interested. I took my FIRST NCL cruise last Jan., it was a comped cruise from Harrah's. We got all the perks it described and we are officially NCL people from now on. My question is we were given gold CAS cards on that cruise from get go, I emailed after reading through this thread to ask them my points and transfer as we are going on Feb. 8th Getaway. My response was I had 13,770 and was a "hot level", will I be "hot" or will it be from land based "gold" on the CAS level? My total rewards level is diamond, does if reflect on that? oh and also this is another comped cruise if that matters.

  10. I have seen you mention the priority check in for the casino paid cruise, but how do they know? we also got a free cruise from total rewards, we are taking it out of NOLA Jan 20. I also upgraded to a balcony because we just like at least them on cruises. This is our first time on NCL, so when, where do I get my players card and drink card? How and where does it show priority boarding or where do I go at the port? If you know any answers thank you in advance!
