  1. I'm getting super annoyed with the drink package "promotion" that's been going on for over 3 weeks on my cruise. Since I'm sailing in a Sky Class suite we get internet included in our cruise fare. I know the game here, you're not getting the voom for free, you're paying for it as part of the full onboard price now demanded for the drink package. I want to purchase the drink package, but I refuse to pay for something that I'm already getting!

I've called resolutions multiple times about this and they've told me that there is nothing they can do, the drink package isn't being offered alone without the voom "promotion". They can't override the "promotion", but each time they've told me that the "promotion" would be ending within the next day or two. It keeps getting extended! It's getting to the point that seeing those fools taking a selfie on the drink package advertisement is making me insane!

If the drink package went up to shipboard prices by itself then I wouldn't be nearly as enraged. I would just be mad at myself for not buying it sooner and now having to pay the price for my inaction. Knowing that instead I'm paying for extra voom I won't be using just is pushing me over the top.:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Thanks for letting me vent. I know how ridiculous this really is in the grand scheme of things, but i feel a little bit better now :halo:

  2. Exactly what I was thinking. We'll be in a GS, so VOOM will be included. I guess the best deal is to pre-buy the drink packages now to get the 20% off.

The 20% off is not the current promotion. It's the "free" VOOM. I'm showing $54 per day. Hopefully the 20% comes back after this "deal"

  3. I've done the Couples Massage and Bathing Ritual on Oasis. It may have been more money than it was worth.

You start out with the couples massage, which was very nice. Afterward, you are escorted by the spa techs to the bathing room where there is a large two person bathtub and shower a bunch of salts, soaps, and muds that you can lather over each other and then rinse each other off and relax in the tub.

They make sure to tell you when they leave you in the room that other treatments are going on in neighboring rooms. Take that how you will.

I enjoyed it, but probably wouldn't pay for the whole experience again, just the couples massage.

  4. Port Canaveral is probably my favorite. Yes it's a hassle to get from MCO Airport to the port, but we have it down to a science. Rent a car from the airport to the cruise drop and the free shuttle whisks us away to the port quickly. Super convenient.

Port Everglades was just a pain as far as getting to the port. It may be close to the airport, but at the same time it feels 1000 miles away. You're dependent upon a taxi, Uber, or other paid shuttle service to get to the terminal from the airport.

Port of Miami has just been a disaster every time we've sailed out of there. Glad to hear the opinions on Galveston though, sailing out of there in December

  5. EN is by far the better ship, but MJ wins over EN out of Port Canaveral if Marc Walker is the CD. Since you are going in the fall, I believe he'll be on Vision out of Galveston. So that would make EN the winner. Enchantment + Mr. Bing Bong was a very good combination out of Port Canaveral. Shame RCL had to go and screw it up.

  6. I'm not a fan of the up charge on the up charge. My most recent visit to chops, they took my porterhouse off the menu and instead I could get it for an additional $19,99 on too of the $30 I already payed.

Isn't the point of the specialty restaurant to charge you for the better food upfront? Not to lure you in and then make you pay even more than you already spent to get what you want?

  7. Good thing that they don't force everyone to go on a cruise, then.

Easiest solution of all time- don't want quantum? Then don't book it.

    Done, solved your problem.

    Man that was easy.

    What's next?

Wait, I don't see this listed on your trips. So you are worried about an optional thing on a ship that you are not booked on.

    Ok- got it.

It seems that this is not the case since the whole fleet looks to get quantumfied. I'll be changing cruise lines when this happens. Any suggestions?

  8. I took the time to read through the menus and I hope these are not complete. I do not see any entree salads nor a lot of beef or chicken dishes. I honestly think the choices are strange and I would like to see some simple food on these menus. My husband and I are not seafood eaters and the other choices seem scarce. This is rather disappointing to us since the main dining room has always been a highlight of my cruise experience.

I agree. Very few of the selections look appetizing and I do not see anything that resembles my favorite dishes currently in the MDR rotation.

I may be selling all my stock and switching lines if the insanity continues.
