I thought so. I just wanted to make sure. When and how much do they take for gratuities?
$12.00 pp per night. Will hit your S & S on 2nd day. $144 pp on a 12 day.

The fare finder will not show any special rates that specific to you. I would have missed a rate today that I got because I'm a casino player. I always do a mock booking and then add my past guest number when checking for rates.
We do the same, easy peasy.
-
I think it's because you are already booked on the cruise.
Nope that's not it.We have always been able to do mock bookings after we have already booked.
-
Same thing happened with us on our last Freedom cruise. About 4 weeks prior to sail date it was no longer listed. Thought it might be a site problem so continued to check but it never showed again as it was sold out.
-
Sorry to hear you're not having a good cruise. We just got off the 12 day repositioning on Freedom on Saturday and had an awesome time! We have no complaints at all!
Same with us, no complaints. This was our third cruise on Freedom, 2 without 2.0 and the last with. We thought it was the best cruise we have done on her.Sorry you are not enjoying her as much as we did.

Noooooo! :(
So do we have to put the typical deposit on the next cruise when booking on board?
I was so planning on buying these...
Yes, also miss the FCC.

If you use the bathroom outlet you will have to leave the bathroom light on as the outlet only works when the lights are on.
-
Freedom will also be in Galveston soon.
-
It may be 5 if sitting at a bar but on deck it was more like 15 before a server came by. I did tip well.
-
5 minutes.
15 min.

All their ships have a self serve laundry on each passenger deck. Believe it's $3 each for each load in washer/dryer.
-
Check in starts at 10:00.
We've been there between 10 and 10:30 twice so far. Waited a little bit outside before they allowed us to enter the bldg.
-
Might want to check the "Ports of Call" board.
-
Normally mid-ship and lower decks feel less movement and for more quiet pick a deck with cabins above and below rather than being under or over a noisy area.
Totally agree, midship cabins have less rocking and we always book a cabin with cabins both above and below. Also won't book next to storage areas.
-
Yes, that option is available.
Thanks for the quick response. On the Carnival site it states that they have to be purchased up to 5 days before the cruise, per DW. Others have said that it can be done onboard.Just looking for confirmation.
-
I flew down a couple of days early and rented a car then returned the vehicle and took the Carnival transfer down. They weren't terribly organized but I got on the ship. :)
The Carnival transfer back to Hobby at the end of the cruise ran much smoother.
Is it possible to purchase it from the ship to Hobby while onboard?

As soon as you board. There will be a table set up in the Atrium lobby.
-
I remember seeing a large motor coach parked in the rear lot of the Hyatt (Convention Center) for 3 days when we were there 2 years ago. Might want to call them.

I loved doing back to back, and wouldn't do FTTF unless I needed it for the tenders, which you don't obviously. We were off maybe 5 minutes and then right back on. Had a bottle of champagne waiting for us in the room too. Pretty awesome really, because as long as you have the same room, you have access to your room right away, your stuff is already there, and you beat platnium on the boat. :) And the biggest bonus; the liquor you buy on leg one, you get to keep for leg two (at least you used to).
I have heard that they now "flag" you as B2B so if you buy liquor they don't deliver it to your cabin at the end of the first leg. Has also been reported that if you go down the last night of the first leg, after 7:30 PM, you can take it back to your cabin.
-
Depends on what rate you booked.
-
You don't have to purchase them before you embark, but you do have to purchase them onboard the ship for your return trip.
Thanks, at this time we are undecided how we will travel to the airport.
-
Do you have to pre order from the ship to airport or can we just disembark and get on the bus and pay? Reason I am asking is we will be arriving in Galveston and need a shuttle to Hobby.
-
Interested as well. We sail on Feb1
Same here as we sail Feb 2nd.

does anyone know when the clock starts - is it from 12:01am - 11:59pm for a day? Just curious.

Carnival Freedom 12 Day Repo Cruise with tons of pictures
in Carnival Cruise Lines

Finally a review from this cruise, we were on the Freedom also but I don't have time do do a review. Looking forward to the rest. Agree that the Freedom is awesome, great ship and crew. Like others have said the MDR food was not as good as it has been in the past. We did the steakhouse one night, comped by the casino, and it was excellent. Weather was great as were the ports, all of which we have been to before. Going to miss the Freedom unless they come up with some different ports.
