Curious on the best way to just get off the boat and get transportation to Mendenhall. We would like to hike some of the trails around the glacier and have little interest on "tours" etc, just want to go to Visitor Center and then hike on our own. What would you recommend? We are at port from 7-3 in Juneau.

We would like to do a post cruise tour on Saturday after our cruise - either fly home Saturday night (red eye) or Sunday. It appears flight prices are cheaper for Saturday night. Is there a good tour to take you places in LA and will hold your luggage? Or would we be better trying to find a hotel/flight for Sunday?
